Here we go. Its already on the lift. May as well pull the engine for a rebuild. Cole is on it!

Power to get through the silt is a major factor in class 11. Its going to be tricky to get as much power as possible from a regulation 1600cc.

Got the engine torn down today. We are going to make a couple changes to the motor, but overall it is in good shape when you get past all the mud!

I have no idea what the regulations are for your racing Class…. but I’d suggest getting as much oil into that thing as you can, 7-8 quarts… deep sump, big external cooler & fans, and dual oil filters. Also switch out those brass push on/hose clamp style full flow fittings and use all AN type fittings. I know Franz is all over it, but thats just my two pennies. This is fun to watch from my couch!

I agree a lot of planning…. I think it would be good to go on a mock-up camping trip/practice in March. Make sure the machine, our skills and pit rig is dialed.

Now that we have a car, we can register for the race. The score website seems to be broken.
