Gonna be a great little car. Detailed fuchs, painted Porsche crests, dropped spindles, 2″ narrowed beam.
How about tire size?? Traditional cal-look would run something like 145 on the front and 195/70 on the rear. That would be a raked look, like drag car style. Lower in the front. We can set the ride height anywhere from 1″ to 4″ with that look.
Remember Drew’s “blackie” It had 195/65/15 tires all around on a slight lowering job…it had more of a level Porsche road race look.John JonesKeymasterNovember 28, 2017 at 10:41 amPost count: 5841
Zack mentioned to me he liked the raked cal look look…. As far as tires… 145’s up front.. and There are 4 brand new 165’s on the herbie beetle.. Maybe we can just run them.. and then he has an extra set of rears too… If we hate the look.. we can change it… 😉
Can’t wait to see ol Zack cruise down kimball in his 66!
😉 😉 😉 I think we should order a stock interior from WW too… 😀 😀 😀ZackKeymasterNovember 28, 2017 at 12:15 pmPost count: 99
Every thing sounds good, detailed Fuchs stock interior, I like the way your bug sits Franz… But I don’t want to go quite that low 🙄unkParticipantNovember 28, 2017 at 12:41 pmPost count: 372

I drove Franz’s bug last time I was out there and hit the beam on a street valve cover. Almost broke my teeth on the steering wheel. That thing is LOW. Good call not going that low…..but it does look cool.Kid 63ParticipantNovember 28, 2017 at 2:08 pmPost count: 41

With this Baja talk around the website is this rig still gonna be able to be a nice street cruiser??? 😉 😉 😀John JonesKeymasterDecember 4, 2017 at 7:00 amPost count: 5841

YES!!!! plans have been made… This will be Zacks street cruiser / highway rig…. Going to switch his tin to all doghouse.. and heat ofcourse!!!! I want his heat to fucking crank!!! 😉 If Zacks wants a baja… we’ll just have to build him one.. 😉 😉 😉
I guess it’s time to decide what I am gonna do with the outside finish… Buff it up…. or sand and clear? It seems like if I a gonna sand and clear.. I might as well just paint it ruby red and patina it… or spend a few extra hours on it and paint it nice??? I didn’t want to do that… we only have about 20 days left to finish this rig.. and yes.. I want to be done in 20 days!!! Thats not an option.. 😀 😀 😀 I have a Vert I need to paint also… 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 so…. I think a buffaroo is probably in the future.. hell Corporate could handle that… 😉AndymParticipantDecember 4, 2017 at 2:23 pmPost count: 896

This is going to be sweet to watch this one transfer from a beater backyard bug forgotten for the last 25 years to a kustom built cruiser. Zach the girlz are going to be all over this rig!!John JonesKeymasterDecember 6, 2017 at 8:43 amPost count: 5841

I bet the parts show today.. 😉
Zack.. is it kinda fun being a “customer”.. Being able to check in on the progress of your rig…?? You can see how the web site keeps the customer informed… first hand.. 😀 😉 😉ZackKeymasterDecember 7, 2017 at 12:11 pmPost count: 99
It is really interesting being a ‘customer’, makes me think about how up to date customers always are with their builds without any hassle. They don’t have to call you for information or updates. You guys update the site so often they can just check in on the daily and know what is happening. It also is a nice showcase of how well KCW gets shit done! You must have pioneered this concept when KCW and its website first came about in the early 2000’s right?
