Just finished power washing Zack’s new 66 bug, and its looking a lot better already! Plans for this aren’t really being made until Zack gets here tomorrow, but since I’m the first opinion I’m just gonna throw out the idea that this bug would be fuckin awesome as a Class 11 style baja.
I’m thinking uncut body and fenders, lifted and slightly raked backwards, big mud tires, a roof rack, and tons of light bars ferda boyz ????????????68tintopParticipantNovember 20, 2017 at 5:56 pmPost count: 732
That’s a sweet bug. Totally complete. I bought it from a friend in Glenwood springs. He drove it to Colorado in the 80’s and it got tired and he parked it. 500$ and get it out yourself he said. Done deal. I sold to John because I have enough projects and I like my bugs a little olderRustabusParticipantNovember 20, 2017 at 8:32 pmPost count: 1976

I need some input from Zack….. 😎 😎 😎 💡 💡 💡 We can go either way Bud… You just let me know…
I was thinking… Disc’s all around, 2″ beam, dropped psindles, detailed fuch’s.. NOT slammed… NOT wearing out axles and shit, Nidly lowered with the look…. Like Franz’s Red beetle… but not so low… 😉
Or… we can go opposite! and go up!
We got it dug out and ready to start on when he gets here today!John JonesKeymasterNovember 21, 2017 at 8:11 amPost count: 6873
This will be a KCW sponsored project…. Not just because Zack is my son.. but because he got our forums back up for us and built us a new server!!!! 😀 Thanks Zack!CorporateModeratorNovember 21, 2017 at 8:46 amPost count: 905

I love going on adventures in our bus!!!ZackKeymasterNovember 21, 2017 at 8:51 amPost count: 114
As much as I love the look of the blue baja Will posted up, I’ve always wanted Fuchs! I’d like to stick near stock height, just to keep an original look and nice handling!
I’m heading towards GJ today by 10:00am if all goes as planned. Gonna take it slow and steady and rock out to some music on the way!
Thanks Will for power washing and thanks dad for getting this all setup for me!KleakeParticipantNovember 21, 2017 at 9:53 amPost count: 671
I like the lowered, and disk brakes. Fuchs always look good . My 2 centsJohn JonesKeymasterNovember 22, 2017 at 6:46 amPost count: 6873
Zack made it home safe and sound… His “Herbie” beetle didn’t miss a beat driving over here… Good to see my son again!!!
Pat helped Zack get it into the dirty shop last night… He already started cleaning it out…
Needs some window rubber and a windshield.. and the headliner sucks nuts.. so… I think we will put a new headliner in it for him and some fresh rubber here and there..RustabusParticipantNovember 22, 2017 at 8:44 amPost count: 1976

I’m glad to see this one happen! Thanks Zach and enjoy. I just love VW’s so I am good with either look, beside KCW don’t do UGLY!! This beetle will be blessed! 😀alykatParticipantNovember 22, 2017 at 5:49 pmPost count: 489
I’m with you Zach. Tiny bit of lowering, near stock height, and nice wheels. Go with your first instinct .Critter1ParticipantNovember 23, 2017 at 9:58 amPost count: 226
Disc’s all around, 2″ beam, dropped psindles, detailed fuch’s.. NOT slammed… NOT wearing out axles and shit, Midly lowered with the look.
This is perfect. It will handle better than stock, look way better than stock. Mild is the way to go. Nothing extreme. You’ll love it and drive it everywhere!
Mild engine? 1776 with a single 40 Weber in the middle. BINGO!
Justin..... that's Justin in Spanish.RSP3ParticipantNovember 23, 2017 at 10:50 amPost count: 147
