    my 65 beetle this was 1990-1991 cant remember exactly

    drove it for a few years sold it to pay for a wedding, then bought the same car back in bad shape 20 years later

    then redid it right, sold now but was a great car

    I  headed to FL this weekend to buy my first aircooled VW back from my buddy, ruby red 62. Just something about a good solid bug! I’ll post some pictures when it’s on the trailer.

    awesome, it’s a neat feeling owning one you owned before.

     

    in my case i cut the dash to fit a modern stereo, lol

    If there was one in particular I’d like to get back it would be this oneTroys' Drag car  101214 004

    bug1_zps17cf9053 Built by a guy in Golden, where it wound up as a magazine feature car, then changed hands twice before I got it. It is in Denver now and well taken care of by the young woman (and her father) who bought it to race in the High School Drag Racing program.

    Here’s old red at my buddies place, probably hasn’t been driven in 5 years. He added the porta walls not me, ha!

    For an east coast rig this thing was really straight and solid.
