Hey kid…. I just cleaned a shit load of spreaders..  Post more pics in the BBB 2018 thread!!!!!  and some individuals..  😉  😉  😉   and BTW.. your bus is in the paint booth…. I am soo surprised the guys didn’t push it outside… If I have to move it.. it’s goin outside. 😉   and I am gonna try and paint a bunch of shit in the next two weeks…  so… that chance is high… like my sky deck! 😉

Clean shop was nice and tool care of your rig, cover on… safe and sound, it never got any rain on your work.. Post some more pics please….  of the trip!!! How about the valley of fire, I know you got some good one’s there…

Thanks for taking care of it guys, I appreciate it!! I think Glenn and I got quite a bit done in the 5 work days we had. Sanding sucks as much as I remember it sucking, maybe worse. I think long panels aren’t named for their physical length, but for how fucking long they take to sand and get straight. I learned a lot about how to read the story that high and low spots tell, and how to massage everything smooth. It just all takes a LONG TIME, and there isn’t a way around it. Its hard to know when to stop and call it good. I’m both mad at and appreciate and  JJ for making me make the bodywork on this bus be so perfect. I’ve taken the panels on here a lot further than I would have if he weren’t pushing me to make it perfect. I think that its going to turn out really nice, and I can’t wait to get back at it and get it closer to paint.

 

Some news that a lot of you will appreciate; after seeing a few in similar colors at BBB and working the Scottsdale auction, I’ve decided to respray this bus in its original colors instead of my custom “moss green”. Its not so much the resale value that convinced me, but the fact that its one year only, special ordered, original, blah blah blah, and can still look tough. Not too cute.

 

I know, its black ?. The paint shop ran out of grey poly, and black is all they had left. We’re just going to roll with it and use the black, which shows every little imperfection, to make it even better.

You’re on the right track now!!!!!! As much of a pain in the ass body working your Bus this nice is, you would have hated yourself for still working hard and sanding a TON for a marginal paint job! Be glad you gave it the love it deserves!!!! 😀  😀  😀

The black poly looks nice.  Sure can tell it looks smooth.  Isn’t there a layer of black somewhere in the base layers on OG paint buses?

Keep your head in those books for ONE more semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂   This kid is getting a business degree in 4 years… impressive.   Then you can build your bus and act like your a hippy for a few years before you have to get that mortgage, min van, and those three complications….. 😉  😉  😉

Yeah… one more semester… its another busy one too, but I don’t think it’ll hurt me too much if I ditch a few days to get away for some more work on this thing or some camping ???

Only a few years before complications and a mortgage??? Yeah right… ? I want NONE of that

I’m getting my ass kicked so far this semester! I thought this year was supposed to be the easy one where you get to party and relax a lot. Not the case for me.

But yeah, still not an excuse to not be out there getting some work done. I’ll pick a weekend and plan.
