Flew it Wednesday before last, just to check it out. Still have a ton of detail work to add to it. Waiting on an order for that.  I have a short video clip of it taking off, but can’t load it on the sight.

As for the “full size”, I put it up for sale. I’ve lost interest in it. Mostly because it’s hard to get in without the wings in place. I think it would be impossible for me when they are in place. I kept trying to convince myself that I could do it, but the reality is, I’m too stove up, to fat, and over weight. It was fun getting it to this point, but I’m over it.

Been working pretty steady on my big Cub. Pictures always load out of sequence. Sorry about that. Anyway, got it covered and painted. Going with a Navy blue on blue camo scheme. Needed a cowl and didn’t want to order one, so decided I’d try and hammer one out of aluminum. Working out pretty good so far. Don’t know squat about moving and forming metal, but I’ve been lucky I guess. I bought a small lead shot bag and forming hammer, and with some false starts, finally started making pieces. Turning out to my satisfaction. More soon.

That’s awesome Ben!!!!  Rosco was talking about RC planes on Shasta… So was Pearcy..

I miss RC pretty bad….  sometimes I think about cleaning up my lot and putting in a track and shop…  Maybe when I finally sell my business I will make a move back into some RC stuff.. that would require me moving away from here,=.. there isn’t shit here..    Now I am large scale rc racing… 😎

I wonder if you could get kids into it anymore..   I still remember getting my first RC car that had real steering and not the kind that backed up and turned one way… 😎  I think i was in 4th grade….8-) It was a Van, had lights too!!  I drove the shit out of that thing!!!!!

Those old back up and turn cars… My dog ate the cord that connected to the controller. Then my buddy had a real Traxxis buggy and I “accidentally” ran it over with my Huffy.

I had a day dream the other day of a track behind my shop and one behind KCW.  Groomed to perfection, stadium lights, billboard transponder timing, nerd fights and all.

I miss it sometimes but I remember feeling more consumed with addiction than any drug, strip club, or form of racing I have ever experienced. It probably didn’t help that every time I hit the track I was Snoop/ George Jones level intoxicated and I thought breaking shit was equal to winning. Needless to say when I graduated to flying planes that did not last long but holy shit is it fun to scream KOMAKAZI as you dive bomb under an easy up canopy making people scatter like mass shooting victims.  Yeah, I had to give up RC.  But sometimes I day dream…

Love to see I am not the only one that dreams about it…    I drank less and did a lot less recreational drugs back then too….. 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

But I hear you on that addiction thing.  a bad race on Saturday night would ruin my week till I had the chance to hit the track again and kick ass again..  these were TOYS mind you.. 😎  😎   I think I might be a tiny bit competitive… 😎 😎 😎

I miss building shit, painting shit, even batteries and glueing tires and all the graphite and aluminum and shit..  man it was fun..

I’m sure the technology has changed quite a bit, too! Especially battery technology. I remember having to leave RCs charging all day just to get less than an hour of time with it.
