Unfortunately, I got into an accident last night and totaled my car.  While unconscious in the car, a homeless guy stole my phone and some other things.  I managed to get the phone back, but that’s a story for another day.  Things are kind of a mess right now, but I’m going to try to figure things out with regards to the Bus.  Scott, I should have my phone back up and running tomorrow.

I recently began working on my Vanagon again. The project was stalled over the last couple of years after taking some time off to build the new garage and my car accident.

The top is now in paint after a LOT of sanding.  I removed the textured surface found on the later Vanagons so that it has an early Westy, smooth finish. My friend, Kellie, helped with getting the flocking cleaned up.

I removed all the interior fabric that was glued to the pillars, then prepped and primed the inside.  A lot of time with solvent and steel wool getting that glue off!

Discovered a couple of pinholes in the front window channel that will be  addressed today, then shoot some epoxy on the nose and cab area.

On the paying side, Ive been doing some rust repair on this 55 Chevy and continue to plug away on a 56 356.  The Porsche has been a big project with more than half of the car being replaced.  I’m getting to the tail end of the project and looking forward to getting it to the paint shop.
