Yes! I cant wait! Let’s get this party started!
Its on!
Stripping all the old paint and filler = weight reduction.
Exterior stripped. There were at least 6 layers of material on this car.
Exterior stripped. Started welding/patching holes in the trunk/front fire wall area.
We will build it if it comes.
Oh hell yeah!!
us after hours hackshows just trying to “keep up with the Jones’s”
Damn! Lots of material. I’ll go on a diet before the race to make sure we are as light as possible! Haha
I was all around the front end of this yesterday. Bit of rust repair, patching up extra holes, bumping panels. Few more places to metal work the shell then time for some blasting.
We will build it if it comes.
I’m starting to get nervous. This is actually happening.
I have almost everything to build engines. My schedule is more flexible than yours. We could build just the long blocks in two days. Then finish tin/carb/exhaust ect some other time and run? Maybe even this week? You’re probably on spring break or something?
Just found some bling in the front quarter. Pretty sure driver must wear for all legs of the race.
We will build it if it comes.
Repaired drivers side lower hinge area. Had to cut it open pull out the nut plate to drill out a broken screw, lower 4″ need rust repair also.
Patched around rollcage. Trying to keep dirt from coming in everywhere we can from the front. Small section of rust repair in pass lowers fender well, also getting rid of the stock gas hole.
Outer front fire wall had separated from the inner along the lower lip. Portapowered it pack into place and hammerd several big’ol stitch welds to hold it. Blasting tomorrow.
We will build it if it comes.
