I don’t have much support on my Yuma idea…  I keep getting reminded I have a 60-70% done sand rail sitting here 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨. Yeah yeah…😋

well it’s Saturday, I guess I will tear down a tranny to send off for rebuild. Oh what fun this will be🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I support buying the one that’s done.  Make an offer.  You don’t have the engine built for yours, if I recall correctly?  What would you have to drop on that?  20 hour-old 2180 with Italian 48 IDA’s….

I like Pete’s way of thinking……  Italian ida’s, low hour car, but still new…   Mazzone car too, superflows.  Scratches my itch right now!  But, is this just an itch or will I turn into a dunner?….    back in my Oklahoma days I was really into it for many years, damn it was fun,  and if you haven’t been, you won’t understand how much fun the sand is when your on or in something with some power and some paddles!!!!   The most money I have in my car is my trans..  I will need it as a spare anyway!!!!  For sure I will need it!!!!

I bet I messed that input shaft bearing up on Shasta when I buried it in the snow and I could hear it screaming😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I guess I had TOO much fun😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍

My Saturday was a complete waste  on trying to build a spare new trans for my bus!!!  👎👎👎👎👎.  And I let it ruin most of my night!!!!

One of the stubs had a crappy nut on it and compromised threads.  Neither of the gear sets were prime… something thicker than oil went through them☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️  One side the brake parts were put in wrong and rubbage on the drum, one side the axle tube is bent way up on the cone part that the side cover holds on, and when I started really cleaning up the tunnel case, it had a Hole in it!!!!  Under where the clutch arm is…..   fuck….    I did grab another center to send off to Painter’s… and that’s really all I NEED….  I was trying to build up a bolt in back up,  cause it’s a shit load of work doing it all🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄.

ya, that thing was SCREAMING! I remember the first 2 (out of what? Like 30 times???!😁) you were stuck, I couldn’t figure out what was making that noise… but then, I figured it out when I got all the snow out from under your motor and it went away… haha it was bending all that shit around down there! That was more than fun!😆😆 that 4 hours or whatever it was of digging and swapping tires and lifting buses to turn them around was one of the best parts of Shasta! So much damn fun!

Nothing like Shasta…😎.  But if I am going racing…   I might have to skip it this year😞😞😞😞😞. Keep the miles off the pamper for  racing trips????   Humm skip the most fun I have ever had in life for some racing…. is this a good move??  Go from camping and relaxing road trips to expensive frustrating weekends not completely in my control….

Happy 30th Anniversary to JJ and Corporate today!!!! The most important day of JJs whole year he’s been saying 😊 these high school sweetheart love birds have been head over heals for each other my whole life and I can’t see anything changing going forward! Thanks everyone!  Crazy, it was just yesterday that John was helping me pass Auto Mechanics class in high school! We were already a great team back then! Team Jones!!!  I am soooo lucky that I was able to marry such an amazing, hard working, loving, adventurous eternal VW advocate that loves and tolerates me daily!!!   Happy Anniversary to us!!!!!!!!!!
