I’ve said it since I met these guys.. They are badd ass… It’s too bad the department of defense owns most of their time.. I can’t imagine the level of badd ass these guys would be if they were full time… 😉  😉

haha thanks boys! JJ I’m almost certain if we did this kinda shit full time we’d be all worn out and ready to retire just like u?

 

i got a full 8 hour shift in on the bus today! Was my birthday and my present to myself was some quality time with the welder!  Trimmed, fit and fully welded drivers side inner B, closing panel and dogleg! I’m feeling so high on this project! HIGHGRADE HIGH haha I’d have to say this is the best metalwork I have done to date ? not trying to toot own horn by any means just super happy with how my bus is progressing!

 

Johnny self appointed himself to tackle this butthole….mangled rusty frame horn and dougnut trans mount replacement….Pretty sure he Inhaled more than a few cutoff wheels on this job haha

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gotta finish my bulkhead bottom repair and rear wheelwell repairs and the cargo floor can slip into its home?

Been plugging away at metal on the kombi….got nose all done among a bunch of other odds and ends. Trying to finish things I start lately….less jumping around?

 

 

 

 

Wasn’t that fun to fit…..the amount of smash and stretch that nose had was hard to line shit up with the new straight panel….headlight bucket had to be porta powered out quite a bit to make jive! Remember what she looked like when started?????

 

Really really starting to feel like something now! Crossmembers, top hats, jack points, one inner door repair, cable conduits, battery tray and Floors……that pretty much all that left on the list???????oh think I might mini tub it too while at it?

Nose really needed a full swap….I just didn’t have the heart to kill the patina? needs a little shrink disk action but she’s close!

Ya I’m still on the lowering kick……can’t have Rusty be the only being one of the only KCWers loyal to the ways of sacred KCW roots?

Plan is to use donor seat tub sections from that 56 panel we cut up….seat will fit and look factory, hell it may even give me room for big knarly knobby mudders down the road?

 

i been wanting to call the shop shop and have a bullshit JJ…..I have some shit I want to bounce off u bro, if cool what time would be good man??
