This truck is soooo stupid special…. Sounds like it may have been assembled at BINZ…….  wow… It has belly pans to0…..  wow… so, possibly a Binz assembled, pre Volkswagen typical double cab set up…… Like maybe Binz designed it for VW??  who knows but cool to think about…

Super cool. I love this bus. So fun to drive. And so usable! An M coded double cab. Before the nov 58 model change

It has  a single cab fresh air vent then? How about pop-out windows or are they stationary? Sounds like a prototype double cab.

Yes it has a single cab fresh air vent. And the two rear windows are pop out windows.

This Chewbacca Noise started when I was driving the DC yesterday. Any thoughts of what it could be? I thought maybe the pulley was slipping or something but that seems to be tensioned correctly.

haha, can you repeat that noise?

That is your fan rubbing is side of the housing. Check to make sure its not coming loose or something funny. You can usually correct by giving the fan shroud a good yank fore or aft to “bend” it into position. Or remove and re-shim the fan to generator.

I also had that noise and it was the fan coming loose.

Well… I needed to do an oil change and valve adjustment before heading to the camp out next weekend anyway. So I guess pulling the motor won’t be too much more… haha 1309EAE7-3528-4DBC-BCA9-EA3B71BBE1B1got some of the good stuff in the mail.52987053-E5D3-45F4-8603-0A6AF71B8770i also love using this bus to haul stuff for work! People never think a vw can be used like a real truck. Blows their minds

I’ve been working on installing the bed slats today. Got the holes all drilled, then sealed with some polyurethane and tomorrow I’ll put some silicone down on the holes in the bed and then screw those suckers on! Pretty excited. Going to look good 44EEE8AA-46DB-4EBB-ABAE-E934552AEE91C2E94447-BCFB-4D10-8F7F-D446A976667F
