    Yep, a cotter pin actually. I drill a hole and fold the pin right at the edge, so that the rubber edge of the air filter covers it.

    You can clip the spring over the edge of the air filter base too.

    we’re off to the beach for an early morning swim….gonna be 38*C  here today.Then I’ll have a crack at doing the springs.
