Thinking this Bus this is like that Unbelievable Dove Blue 21 Window that was built a while back, never could take a bad picture!!!! But his one has OG Style!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Video is awesome. Will get one from the west coast when we get back in town…thanks KCW
A few “as found” pictures that I may not have shared earlier.
Question….
I noticed on the last video that you don’t use a spring from the throttle bar centre bracket back to the body …as a return spring.
I have my new Type 4 2 litre motor with 40 Webers ,in and thumping.
The current setup has the return spring fitted ,however it does make the accelerator pedal a bit heavy going.
Should I be able to run without the return spring ala Buddy’s bus
KIM
Test Pilot @ Submarine AirwaysHey Kim, there are secondary return springs on Buddy’s engine…I put one on each of the carburetors, a little spring between the air filter base and throttle shaft.
That way we avoid putting spring pressure through the linkage bar.
Can’t wait for beach photos!!!👍👍👍
Thanks Franz. That’s a great innovation.I’ll give it a try.
Is the top of the spring held by a split pin through the base of the air filter ?
…..you know the deal
detail ,detail ,detail !
Cheers
