Sooooo tight. So psyched how it’s turning out
Yeah! Good times. Thanks for the help last weeks.
It’s a Baja type cage in a Porsche. Hopefully to prevent that whole list of problems with the body flexing/cracking. I’m kinda stalled on fabrication until some parts start arriving for fitment. Thinking about the front struts now.
Im always impressed Franz. Looking forward to seeing this car later.
The 100 liter fuel tank arrived. Looks nice and fits nice. The spare tire is tight against the back of the hood mech. I may have to trim it out. Not a big deal as we’re already planning to run t straps
Franz is working on some junk in the trunk today!
We will build it if it comes.
Cibie hood rally lights just arrived.
I’ve been working on plates for the strut towers. Worried that this car is going to be twice it’s original weight with the spare parts and gear. We don’t want to risk a catastrophic failure like a strut tower cracking…Also planning RSR strut tower braces that will weld on top of the plates.
The sparco seat adaptors are so so. I don’t like how they impede on the under seat storage space. We’ll look at them some more.
Nice work! Franz is all in on this!!
Looking good. Can’t wait for you to cut some holes in that hood 😏
battery box look ok?
Battery and box looks good. The odyssey pc1200 is nearly the same size as the stock battery. Should you guys have any problems, swapping to an auto parts store battery will be easy.
Roof rack and rsr strut braces just arrived.Sick sick. Did the strut braces come with a crossbar? We couldn’t really tell from the description online
yeah, aluminum crossbar included.
Making shit happen!
Fuck them old Volkswagens! I build race cars! 🙂
