so… word on the street this is gonna be at the moab campout and piloted by it’s Owner..  The world famous, one and only… LONE STAR…   😉  😉  😉  😉

So…. insulation? Panels sound like they are on the way.. All around, back too?  Bed? your seats need hella love….   Tent camping sucks..  IMO

We are thinking of driving to Grand Junction next month for the Moab trip.  I’ll bring the torn repo mat with me.

Only front cab panels being sent for now. Clara said she’s still working on the back panels for BD buses, but I put in my order in for the back panels.  Mary and I can just put a blow up mattress  in the bus for sleeping and use a ton of blankets to keep warm at night.

No tent camping for us, the ground will be too cold for Mary and I.  Yall gotta remember we’re from Texas, where it really never gets cold.

FYI it was 90 degrees here today.

90degs, sounds like Tucson. I would rethink the air mattress. They don’t insulate worth a damn in cold weather. Cold comes right through the bottom no matter how many blankets on top. Although bulky to carry, a piece of 6″ foam would be way better. JMO.

I agree ☝️….I have a small enclosed trailer I use for flying and dirt bikes and whatever, we camped in it and used an air mattress…what we did was lay a few blankets down on the floor, then the air mattress then used our sleeping bags. It helped quite a bit actually. But Ben is right if you just tossed it on the metal floor, you’d freeze your Texas booty’s off! ?

Going to insulate the cab and install cab kit from Clara on Saturday!!!!    Rich Kimbrough is going to drive this one to Moab…. He will be pleasantly surprised… it’s like a caddy….. 😉  😉  😉

Crew support rig for the weekend. The squishy suspension, safari window and 3.88 came in handy to blast around the caravan to get ahead for photo opportunities. Very good driver/performer.

I’m excited to see Richard’s pictures in HotVWs
