That motor looks freaking amazing Franz!!!!!? I love the details that make it look super vintage! Love everything about the carburetors and manifolds with the coating and obviously those stacks!!! The generator looks super fresh and vintage, this is going to look so sick in that giant engine bay! You guys are killing this!
us after hours hackshows just trying to “keep up with the Jones’s”JbParticipantSeptember 8, 2017 at 11:01 pmPost count: 588FranzKeymasterSeptember 9, 2017 at 8:20 amPost count: 3372
Thanks man! Its a fun engine. Dressed to look old. Nothing too fancy. 100% serviceability and function.FranzKeymasterSeptember 9, 2017 at 8:25 amPost count: 3372
The tall air filter are something. We got them with the carbs (used from a sand car).
Regular size air filters will fit better with the spare tire tray. Which we do have and may install later. Or not.JbParticipantSeptember 9, 2017 at 9:43 pmPost count: 588
And I thought the empi “King Kong” filters we got for scarface were big!John JonesKeymasterSeptember 10, 2017 at 6:42 amPost count: 6339
This bus is looking great…. I got some paint shit done and buffed a decklid friday! Barndoors to Roosters next Thursday.. 😉John JonesKeymasterSeptember 10, 2017 at 7:38 amPost count: 6339
seats… PITA… See all those tubes we replaced!!! see those “feet” on the bottom of the seat… I am missing two of them. from the other bus…. They are usually bent up… I’m not sure what I want to do here… just ditch em… try and make something?? They get bent up and are useless in no time.. but.. they are stock. First time I have seen em still on a seat! 😉

What’s Kelly getting for interior? One of the Clara uber kombi kits?
Motor looks great!John JonesKeymasterSeptember 11, 2017 at 7:51 amPost count: 6339
Good question. I currently only plan on getting a front seat in this bus.. I want to get it functional and done that way.. then Let Kelly decide if he wants us to do anymore work or take it to TEXAS!! 🙂FranzKeymasterSeptember 11, 2017 at 7:57 amPost count: 3372
We have a roll of vintage correct black pebble vinyl. Doug is going to make something
Kelly, your bus is going to a show in Salt Lake City, UT this weekend. Do you want to drive it there? Get some plane tickets sorted, so that you can be in Grand Junction on Friday morning of the 15th.
