Dude you’re a rockstar. You have so many irons in the fire but still get shit done!!! The rail is looking sweet, trailer is  turning out dope, dually is sick, Baja is more fun than a person should be allowed, pamper is proven, now the Kombi?!? How can I keep up with the Jones’s? Damn, I miss you guys!

I’ve always felt like it’s easy to work on customer stuff… We get paid for that!!!! It takes more effort and sacrifice to work on your own stuff…. Great job man!!! 😎

so true JJ, it’s so much time and work that normally pays the bills but for me it’s a bill that adds up quickly for parts and materials…good thing the labor of love is free!! 🤑

and to everyone else’s comments, THANK YOU!!! I’m like a kid waiting for Santa, can’t wait for Saturday to get here so I can get body sprayed and then back home to hang some parts so I can stand back and verify my vision.

Sorry for the lack of recent updates. Been sanding and painting 🤪 Today I finished up last gate and hinges so now everything is painted except the body. Got the dc loaded on the trailer for Saturday, that’s when I’m gonna finish this fucker. So excited to finally see it all one color and shiny again.

On the beefcake adjuster there’s 6 teeth that mesh in the rail that’s welded to the beam. When tight, that’s a pretty positive lock. Think it’s forged, may be cast, but the teeth mesh tight…Hard to imagine a piece of mild steel channel with 2 teeth would provide the same positive lock for the adjuster…. but welds will hold it if you get penetration into the center block.   Burn it in cole train.

Shit looks awesome!!!!!!!! Wow.. Thats ONE LONG project… Gonna be worth it though.. 😎

thanks, there was long periods of sitting in corner while doing other things, Lots of huge obstacles to overcome, waiting on parts, typical build things that set ya back…..but I’m full steam ahead now…I think 🤪

Thanks guys, ordered the speedstars, gonna be SWR for now, want to cap it with chestnut brown maybe later this summer 🤷🏼,  but really like the SWR. Will decide once it’s all colored and together in one piece. Yes, this started back in 2010, when I decided to tear it down and fix some bondo cracking that was hiding some knarly bodywork (or lack of). Hard to say if I’d go thru all the tubbing and bs I have gone thru again, it’s gonna be fun to drive though with minimal head room 🤪.

Happy birthday JJ? 23rd? Mine was the 24th 😎 don’t be so hard on yourself about the eating a crow thing. We all try to improve on designs, that’s evolution. I’ve had my fair share of failed attempts along the journey with our bus. Was looking forward to moab soon but that’s not looking very promising. Gonna have to get together soon, we miss you guys

Sorry we didn’t make it down last weekend, with all the current events going on and daughters anxiety, Leeann wanted to stay closer to home. Looks like an amazing time and place to go.
