Everyone used to stay down near Hwy 54 n I-75..There’s a Sleep Inn, Best Western, and a Rodeway Inn….but they’ve built a few new hotels right up by Dade City…Hampton Inn, little more $$…..They have camping spots at the Jam….fun to hang with the Bus folks!

Two years ago TODAY,  my buddy Mike picked up this sad pile down in Death Valley, AZ n it healed for KCW…..to become Sunny the 66 Sunroof!!!!

New rig is incredible!!!  Just like JJ and Audrey say, everything from the doors n sunroof to the way it purrs down the road, it really is a brand new car!!  Everything tight n smooth on this one, just a fantastic car!!!  Real pleasure to drive!!!

Yeah, hopefully we’ll see ya at Bug Jam this fall…side by side pics would be great!

Working on the “At Home in FL” video, work getting in my way of progress..but it’s coming…..seems like folks are snapping pics everytime I take her out!!!

She made it late this afternoon!!!  Pictures do not do this car justice….WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!!!

We took a BUNCH of pics and videos, so stay tuned….Here are some still sneak peaks at her arrival in FL….

She made the trip no problem, just took an extra day due to weather…..anticipation was KILLIN’ me!!!!  But this shot sez it all;

What a FANTASTIC car!!!!  Now let’s spin the odometer on this puppy!!!  As my friend Bruce Meyers always said, “More smiles per mile!”

Can’t thank JJ and the Team enough, this is beyond my expectations completely….I’m speechless!

Thanks!  Yup BDay is tomorrow….excited as hell to see her…Had started talking to the shipper about  a month ago…so revived them….now we’ll see whose close n can pick her up!  Hot chick like her should be able to catch a ride pretty quick!  Like Johnny Cash sang….”I’m goin down to Florida….and get some sand in my shoes!!”

Yes Audrey,  I  will love her like you do Ruby…..Something about ’66s….of course they all have different personalities when u drive ’em….that’s what makes ’em fun!

That sounds great!! – The Audrey Seal of Approval, that is…I’m honored that racing celebrities built and are proving out my rig!!  Yeah I’m sure I’ll be guilty of being heavy on the roller too…lol!  Love the pics from bottom to top…she just doesn’t hava bad side, does she?? Ahhhh, just how it is with beautiful women…lol! Time for us to dust off n charge up the Go Pros!!  I have a feeling there will be a ceremonial video or two made to welcome her to Florida  & my fleet……Did I mention Thursday is my Bday?….What a fantastic present!!!!

Dropped off there for a few days…..tending to my sick 13 year old Lab…yup everything is old n needs attention around here…lol!

Looks fantastic after a bath!  Yeah, I  try not to get caught in our afternoon downpours, but like ya said it’s FL – There’s liquid sunshine everywhere!!

I’ll haveta keep some videos going of the adventures as they continue….there should be a bunch of ’em!

The door gaps, etc. look perfect….so not surprised they close great too!  I’m super excited – Really enjoying the test run videos….been sharing them with a bunch of friends along with the b4 n after shots…everyone is amazed….Great feedback on the snap video run of the build..I  think that’s a favorite….

JJ – Sounds like your buttoning up a few odds n ends that were left….saw ya place 5th out there at Primm…too cool!  I was diggin the “fuzzy” bus too..lol!

It’s been 90s here, but had rain the other night, a heck of a thunderstorm, and then it’s been nice…in the 80s here as well…..no real excitement here on the weekend, just me taking about 3 hours to put a fuel pump in a ’66 Big Block Corvette….not much room in there….silly turd, tricks are for kids!

Like the bracket for the plate!  Awesome you don’t have to drill any holes!!

I guess I shoulda called her the “Love Bug” cause I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE looking at the pictures AND the video!!!!

Like I’ve said before, this is one incredible effort and I can’t begin to tell ya how much I appreciate all the hard work that went into making this happen.  I think you guys hit the mark and went beyond in making Sunny the best car in my collection.  I’ve never had anyone build a car for me, was something that just came together when I talked to you guys – Just about borrowing some wheels to get her on the trailer…lol!

It’s been really cool watching a 40 year “vision” of a Sea Blue ’66 come together for I think everyone that’s been watching….friends, family, and especially my Mom! (Who at 94 is patiently waiting for her “ride”…lol!)  I never owned a metal Sunroof car, have had a number of ’66s….always liked ’em.

The pictures DO look fantastic against that Colorado sky!!!!  Hopefully we can bring a little bit of that cool air down to sunny FL and keep us out of “hot burning hell” for maybe another few days until summer kicks in…..
