I gathered up some missing brake parts and prepped for a sand blast session. The new/clean Empi torsion arms lended themselves nicely to tig welding the end caps, and a little profile work on the seams/casting numbers.
Pat painted the hood and decklid earlier.
Paint did happen yesterday. Hood , deck lid and a few other bits all dressed up.ย
We will build it if it comes.
Epoxy sealed the trunk and engine bay yesterday. Worked out a couple imperfections in the sealer this morning.
More shiny L360 just laid down.
We will build it if it comes.
All the BLUE!!ย ๐ย ย Yup, Pat has taken over the painting responsibilities..ย I can’t do it like I used ta could…ย And Pat can…. ๐ ๐

Buffed the back side of the OG paint glove box door to check our color match. ย Looks good!!!
We will build it if it comes.
Drllled and spot-faced the backside of the rear drums for 7/16โ studs to match the front disc brake kit. Press-fit .010โ on the studs and a couple of tig beads to prevent them from spinning.
Notched spring plates for cal-look lowered stance. What do you think for tires? Like a 205/70 rear and 145/80 front?
Ready for a paint session tomorrow. What color? Gloss black? -
