Awesome Pete!!!
One of the only TV car shows I can watch most of…?
We will build it if it comes.
Thanks guys. It was fun.
Did the carbs and oil cooler arrive ok?
Woohoo! Can’t say thanks enough for squeezing it in!
I sacrificed a second set of cylinder tin to make Porsche-like 2 piece stuff. I saw Josh Bailey do this on his zwitter. Makes it possible to access the third manifold nut for removal and install with the engine in the car.
The 36 dells look good on there. They already have Porsche type linkage arms. I was lucky to find a fan shroud that has the holes for plug clips since we have no way to run the wire tube with dual carbs.
How are you feeling about paint Pete? Silver shroud like Porsche super? Or all black?
Also, we need to find a OG wire terminal oil pressure switch.
That looks soooo good! Nice tin mods, too.
Im down for the shroud in silver, rest of the tin black. I think it would look great and be a little different.
Oil switch….bueno or no? If it works I can order.

Meh
Your engine deserves original. Let me look around here one more time. I can probably scrounge something. I don’t see anything available on samba.
The original switch has a VW logo, thick nut, and rounded back side profile.
Thanks. Google search yielded one on the site below. I’ve never heard of “Bug City”…anyone ever bought from them? Legit?

I can also see if the one in the Ghia now is correct screw terminal, and if it is pull it and send it. *EDIT* checked at lunchtime; Ghia has spade switch currently, so no luck there.
I bet stoddard has one for like $100….8-)
The product of every old man that took the time to teach me something 😎😎😎. Thanks❤️
I bet stoddard has one for like $100….8-)
…and at that price they’ll continue to have it! 😉
I think I found one on a core engine. Will pull and picture in a minute.
Yep. Its not perfect. Better than aftermarket.
