Got the kids all serviced. I think Goldie may need a new thermo time switch so that the warm-up fuel enrichment will turn off earlier.
Bill’s Kombi needed the sand washed off the engine and the heads retorqued…got almost a full turn on the nuts.Critter1ParticipantApril 11, 2020 at 9:53 pmPost count: 227

Hell of deal…. I dunno if it would sell that cheap… but I know it was over $50K to build it….
Dammit! I wish I would’ve known that a few months ago. I had a money tree there for a minute! Love that car.

Sorry I missed the update in this thread until now-
but a big thank you to Franz for looking over everything and getting Greta all tuned in again for me!! She drives SO good now! And good to know about the thermo time switch… I’ve noticed that, but after a few stops it seems to be ok.. for now at least! Haha
thank you thank you!!!Pat KKeymasterApril 21, 2020 at 10:02 amPost count: 1646
Knocked out a tin work paint job for a local buggy last night.
Nothing super fancy. Customer had taken care of prep work. Sanded everything down really good, epoxy sealed, and 3 coats of bright ass orange single stage.
We will build it if it comes.FranzKeymasterApril 22, 2020 at 8:14 amPost count: 3917

Like them quick in and out parkway projects… this is normally when this kind of work would be stacking up… but I think the spring rush will turn into a summer rush….. 😎John JonesKeymasterApril 22, 2020 at 3:40 pmPost count: 7344
Doug has been getting no less than 27 minutes of work done daily….. 😎 😎 😎FranzKeymasterApril 28, 2020 at 7:39 amPost count: 3917
Here is one of the rarest beetles you will ever see. Baja super beetle😁….and no I don’t mean the Baja edition. This one is actually a has a Baja fiberglass kit. It looks to have been in a front end collision at some point due to the bent pan head.
We’ve done a carb swap, some tuning and paint repairs on this one.

Morty brought his car down for a tune-up…but mostly so that I could buff the fender that I stuck my hat into while painting last winter.
Doug Corson has been making progress on a 66 convertible top.
