I hope we can be done this week.. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎.
Finalized the light wiring, and installed the apron, new bumper bracket, and old bumper. All bolted together just fine, and not welded to the frame this time.😎 I cleaned the oil bath air filter and started the engine…Found the fuel pump was leaking and the distributor vacuum can not holding. Installed a new pump and 009 distributor, and I had that engine running just like song.
The test drive went well except the brakes were dragging. It looked like the caliper hoses were way-old and swelled closed. I stayed late and swamped the hoses+bleed brakes. All good now.
I have a couple items to do in the morning, and see if I can get the fuel gauge functioning…I’m betting it’s a bad sender in the fuel tank, which would require removing the engine to get at.
These projects need “everything “ fixed…. almost to the finish line! !!
nice work Franz
great bus. much better now
Parkway love for Kylie’s beetle today. This one has been ongoing one for awhile. Just about finished up.
Sanded, masked, and epoxy sealed the repaired areas.
Just finished paint. Bit of sanding/buffing and assembly to go before she’s heads home.
We will build it if it comes.
Nice blend Pat. Going to feel good for you to get that project completed.
Kiley is going to be happy!😁
Dan’s bus had a swivel valve adjuster break. We’ve had a lot of problems with these lately. I swapped them all back to stock adjusters with lash caps on the valve stems. Ready to go again.
If it isn’t one thing it’s another., Always chasing the weakest link… Dan will be happier..
next time I do maintenance on my bus, I plan on trying to ditch the empi swivels.. or change them every oil change! 😎😎😎😎😎😎
I’m so happy to have the best group of VW guys here in town. Thanks for everything you do.
Heavy axle boot leak, going back in the lift
It was just an axle boot… Franz changed it… she’s ready to Rip DAN!!!!
Dans bus is a road warrior!
Maybe he ll take it to BBB this year ?
Baird’s t34 has been on the schedule for about a month. Having a fuel supply problem it sounds like.
