Things have been hopping around here lately!!   😎  Everyone is excited about off road racing!!  Audrey has kicked our social footprint up a couple notches and  I can feel that “pixie dust” of KCW in the air… Attitudes are positive, everything is getting done… 😎  😎  😎

Back at the shop from my Grand Canyon trip and gearing up for Shasta! One adventure right into the next. Grand Canyon was mind-melting. 21 days, 280 miles on the river. Like bus camping, but you can flip easily and lose all your shit!

Im slowly learning how to readjust to being in society again.

Trip of a lifetime! I bet it was cold, I have heard that you can go days without direct sunlight. Sounds like you flipped? What rapid?

Lava Falls looks cold!

I missed my chance a couple years ago in March to be on the Grand. I assume it was a private trip, did you captain at all? I have heard that is is difficult to come back to society after a trip like this. Rafting is high on my list and I plan a week or two every year going, keeping my fingers crossed I get some permits this year.

Yeah, rowed my own 18ft raft, the Brown Trout, aka the shit barge. Luckily no flips in the whole group, only pinned one raft in lower Hance from dropping the oars for a celebratory shotgunning after a clean run. Whoops. I made sure I finished the rapids first after that.

That is awesome and lucky to have no flips! The river will always show you who is boss 😆 Hopefully a there was a celebration at Tequila beach! Hopefully I will get a chance to go again on the Grand. It would be fun to get a group of the KCW crew and do a float. There is a lot rivers in the area of all difficulty and the group would have a blast!
