November 9th 1989, the Wall between East and West Berlin, Germany came down. Couple of pics from the internet in 1960 before the wall was built.

Interesting to still see so much bomb damage 15 years after the war. Cool Heinkel Tourist as well.BBWBParticipantNovember 10, 2019 at 8:21 pmPost count: 715

That building is on the communist side before the wall blocked it off from view. East Germans took a long time to rebuild.

A big “thank you!” to all the veterans who have served!
I think a link to the auction of the Taj Ma Garaj collection was shared here a while ago, but I can’t recall if the results were. If this is repetitive, well, my bad.
Franz’s “Death” sold for $40,320, which included the buyer’s premium. Not too shabby at all.
Results for the entire Taj Ma Garaj car collection (excluding the memorabilia).RustabusParticipantNovember 11, 2019 at 12:45 pmPost count: 1618

Where were you stationed, John? I went to basic in San Antonio then tech school for a year at Keesler in MS. I followed that up with a short tour in Guam at Anderson AFB. I was out by 90. I imagine that we were both in around the same time.
