Working on the engine today. Prepping the case for assembly. Welded the windage tray to the pick up tube. Drilled the oil galley for Hoover mods on the lifters. To get more oil to the rockers/heads.

I’ve never seen a rear main bearing modified like that. Do you enlarge the oil return to drain off the additional oil that’s going to flow through?

You can see the small groove behind the small hole that connects to the oil galley for the feed. Is only a litte spray. Should be able to drainback through the stock hole.

Yeah, a lot of RPM and clutch feathering in a race car.

This is awesomeness.. I am stoked to have Franz on my engine… He is meticulous!!! and we are doing the hover tricks too!!  The windage tray in itself is going to be my game changer….  No more oil lights!!!!!!!!  If you ever see your oil light while your driving… STOP… Damage has been done! 😎

    Still waiting on parts though…

Dave, you going to Crandon now?

Class 11 is looking sexy AF!!!!!!!!!!!!    Clean… probably better looking than BARSTOW…. 😎

This is the most dialed in my car will have ever been…. I’m gonna be ready to race…. 😎  Smooth, fast, no mistakes… clean and smooth….

Doing my check book I have been putting off for 6 weeks… fuck I hate paper work anymore.. and I barely do ANY… 😎

My stock headlights look so damn sexy… I bet the crandon guys will agree…. and hopefully let me run them… What if I put clear tape over the lenses?

If not, could you run some bigger race-approved LEDs in their place? I always thought the race lights in the stock location looked pretty cool

Mike got me worried so I drilled the rear main drain hole to 3/8”

Lightened a German flywheel and checked cam/oil pump fitment. The tang on the pump was .010” too long. Glad I checked.

There’s a company that makes the early lenses in plastic for the Porsche guys.  I think it’s called Spectre products?    May be worth checking out.  You could always wheel up some aluminum ‘lenses’ and paint them to look like headlights.

    Looks like a fun project.

Grooving them? Do you take a hot iron and burn chunks out or something?
