This is so great ! From sleeping for decades out in the weeds, then more years in my scruffy old barn , this battered old piece of automotive past now has a bright and shiny future. Thanks so much John and crew !

They arrived about 2 hours ago and completed their first test lap. According to JJ and Audrey it was pretty rough.

JJ says: “Can’t drive it as fast as you want to, you have to drive it as fast it’ll stay together 😬”.

We need some live feeds from the drivers point of view while racing. Cant wait to see and hear about the race this weekend.

Team KCW gave me some breif updates about their test lap experience! The course is rough as hell – to the point they’ve already got dents in the engine, and had to replace the sump plate. There’s lots of dents in the pan under the passenger and spare tire area and the front apron is already smashed up! They are getting some help from Empi & Sletten Racing to put a makeshift skid plate under the engine in hopes to save it for as long as possible in tomorrows race. It sounds like the biggest takeaway for them is that keeping the car alive all the way to the end will be extremely challenging.

It seems like service is not great out in the desert (who’d a thought?), so they shared this single pic of JJ talking with Dave Co – presumably about the class 11 😜

In non-class 11 news, Sadie took care of a mouse when it go too close to camp:

I hope they have fun, I am sure they will, and remember: To finish first you must first finish!

Team KCW ran into an issue yesterday (not sure what) while looking over everything and were unsure if racing today would be possible – but with help from the class 11 village they managed to fix it!

    Ready to race πŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ€™
