First Salt Lake to see Coles family, then Vegas to meet some friends to climb in red rock, the on to Big Pine in California to meet up with another friend to go climbing/trail running around the sierras!

No real time agenda since I have a hotspot and can work from my bus! Which is gonna be the way to do it for me I think. Especially if I have to fix anything, not feeling rushed so I can figure it out, AND do it right will be awesome. If Cole is still at KCW I might head over there so we can caravan his new beetle and my bus back home to WA!! Should be a good trip, I’ve definitely got some things to learn and some more tools and parts to get to be fully prepped, however I think it could be a fucking amazing trip!! Even if shit goes wrong, what’s the point of having a bus if you don’t use it. 😉

Love your attitude Emilee. It’s a big country out there, and seeing it from the road is the best way to go. In a VW bus, even better.

So awesome Emilee! I can’t wait to follow along and see how this goes for you! I’ve worked from a few campsites recently and can’t stop thinking about doing it full time. Making any upgrades other than windows before you go? Inverter or other outlets?

I’ve got an inverter, I think that should be good for this trip since I’ll have access to power when I’m with my friends.

As of right now I’m just waiting on the tin to get back from powder coating! Then I think we’re gonna install a couple gauges (head temp and oil temp) so I can be sure I’m not gonna burn anything up.

Hopefully she can just come to KCW and help with the beetle at the end. Go camping one night with everyone. Then we can cruise home together! So I have a place to sleep on the way back to WA😁

I did some boring seals on her motor. Started wiring in some extra worry gauges. We also replaced this piece of headliner with some birch. Need to do a slider door panel next.

powder coating is supposed to be done any day this week…. then this thing is ready. Going to do a couple small local trips to read plugs. Then she’ll be ready to rock1854F223-7F73-49A5-993C-6C436DC76669

I’m lucky to have her! Haha cool lady that lets me work on cars all day and is into camping and driving her bus solo and working on it too. I’m lucky.

she’s going to have a great trip. Hopefully we can get this thing working well enough for her.
