Can you imagine just cutting out all the bad shit in your body and just rebuilding it with nice, perfect, brand new parts?!?!?!?!? I wanna KCW rebuild!!!!!!
yeah right!!!!!
Been dissecting bits off around the bus today. Primarily focusing on the rear of the bus though. Cut off the pass side mudflap and bottom corner since they were rusty.
Dissected all the little bits off the pass side battery tray as well.
Now starting to dissect the driver side.
Driver D pillar ended up being about the same as the passenger. Had to cut all that rust out.
Also cut off the bottom of the corner. Battery tray is still fine.
Great Monday guys! Thank you for your hard work today! Looks like the center floor is still solid and walkthru section is pretty solid! Can’t wait to see this week’s progression. Thank you “von_hansel” for the Alabama Camper leads!
Guys have this rig about all dissected… I hear we are going to put it on a dolly and blast the bottom sides… We have one more Jig to put a bus on but it’s set up for barndoor right now.. some mods though, and a later bus will fit it… 😎
We got your big ass check yesterday, and parts are getting ordered! 😎 Progress daily!!!! 😎
Dad and I got the transmission and front beam out this morning.
Im about to start scraping the trans.
Scraped the trans and got it disassembled. Much cleaner than what it was. The bottom was a mess.
Dad scraped the trans cradle while I was on the transmission. He’s currently getting the bus cradle welded on.
That tranny looks like it was at the bottom of the ocean!!!😂😂😂
That trans has seen better days! Damn!
moving right along!
Finished dolly mods and bolted the body on yesterday.
Pulled all the little screw and the last few parts off today.
Slipped the rollover jig in the dolly. Ready for the blast booth.
We will build it if it comes.
Pat actually got a bunch of blasting done yesterday too!! I’m sure there will be more today! 😎
I did get a good bit done yesterday. Cab area mostly blasted.
Started blasting around a couple areas I suspected would get worse. They did. Lower front window openings.
And the front of the cargo floor. Always hope for the best but reality bites sometimes. Out with the rest of the cargo floor. More metal removal before we get back to blasting.
We will build it if it comes.
good thing for gersons and klassic fab these days
Cut and dissected the majority of the floor out today.
Dad dissected a bit off the front cargo floor, around the lower windshield, and cut around the passenger seat buckle mount.Nice to work out in the ☀️ today! A little more dissecting on Monday then should be back to blasting 😎
