I made up some pieces for the bottom of the wheelwell. I didn’t realize till I took a closer look that there is kind of a weird joint on the leading edge of that area. So I just copied what I saw there. Plus they sit on top of the floor so I’ll weld them in after the floor is welded in place.

I’m not sure if I should have the back half of this pig sandblasted whiles it is this far apart or just powerwash it and treat it with Ospho and some epoxy and call it a day.

Another productive night on the DC. Next I’ll have to make inside part of both wheelwells and fix the mess between them where the floor meets behind the gas tank.

Those tires are Achilles Tires Desert Hawk.  Got them from Simpletire.com. Id like to put a set of Nates lifted spindles on here at some point. Or maybe just put some adjusters in.

I used easy off oven cleaner followed by lacquer thinner. It doesn’t seem to be working as good on the cab.

Nah, don’t want to paint it. I’ve been messing around trying to strip the green off. It came off the bed real nice, But the rest of the truck was prepped and primed better so it’s being a bitch. Down the line I think I’ll just have some 2k tinted match and cover any bare metal. IDK.

My shop was jammed up for a while (to many VWs is a good/and bad). I had no room to work and couldn’t get excited about anything. I bit the bullet and rented a spot to store some shit. Now I got some elbow room to get my head back in this pig.

    Some paint removal work.

Finally some current work. Got this lower wheelwell burned in last night.

Is there going to be a readers rides section, for the projects I never work on?
