Hey!! This is Ruin Two Buses!!!! Careful of your words, You’re gonna milk the fuck outta these Buses, Not build em, and make as much $$$$$$$$$$$$ As you can ……. Hell, buy my SuperHighroof and show me how it’s done!!!! Yep, two Buses wasted? I’ll give you a deal, show me what you got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like you can build a 57 Kombi from a Single Cab hack and build a 65 Sandard from a BIG roof clip???! WOW!!!
Haha Rusty you know I’m a long time supporter of the super high roof.
I’m sure Beverly has these pictures framed on her walls. My favorite deluxe is the 15 window
Funny enough we’ve never done anything with these pictures. I think she said she can’t recognize me in most of them?
Great story Will. That’s tough waiting that long and wondering if that call would come. Or worse that he got rid of them and never called! Congrats!
Right? My thinking on the way out there was “if they’re not there I can at least sleep at night.” That and I’ve already got an awesome camper thanks to KCW, so I’ve already got a lot to be grateful for.
Slammed on Fuchs?
this gets my vote!!! And an serious buff job!
I’d consider it, but I think that this bus is going to stay in Colorado, so I want it to be 4 seasons practical. I saw this one at BBB last year. One of my favorite buses and I think I’d like to emulate it. Although Fuchs and patina would look amazing….
Got some time on the lift yesterday to start giving this thing a mechanical refresh. New master cylinder and front brakes to start. Planning on getting to the rears today and maybe pull the motor.
One of the most annoying things wrong with this bus was that someone had cut the rear cargo door hinges so that the door was only held on by the door spears.
Had to burn the screws out and smack the other hinge pins out. Welded in a new nut plate and painted the hinges. Good as new once it’s hung tomorrow!
what a killer find… still getting over Willy finding two Deluxes!!!!!
Proud and Stubborn 👍🏻
Will and Maddie blew-up the shop, and managed to make this turd drive. Peanuts are for elephants.
Yup! We knocked it out and left a wake of destruction behind us in the shop! New brakes, soft lines, trans mounts, cleaned out the gas tank, hogged out the bell housing, changed the axle boots, fluids, and stabbed the motor in. We got lucky and only had a few hang-ups, but it was a whole weeks worth of 3am nights and 7am mornings. KCW has really become a 24/7 shop with us working late overlapping with Pat coming in early. Pretty fun.
Thank you John, Gretchen, Franz, Pat, Cole, Zack, and Wes!! Really couldn’t have done it without you all.
Good job Will!
Dang….nice job getting that on the road so fast! Bus looks great!
This is the only place on earth you could have pulled off all the things we did in them 2 weeks!!!!😁😁😁
Good job Willy!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Proud and Stubborn 👍🏻
What a badass bus she is!!! Wouldn’t want to get that dirty and tired for anything else.
Still slightly butt hurt the engine that I did a 2 hour valve adjustment and stripped the rocker stud on didn’t make it in her, but that engine sounds SEXY and loves to rip!
What’s the next step Willy?!
