Shifted great all day yesterday. Parked outside overnight after driving on wet roads all day… shift rod froze! Couldn’t get it out of second hahaha

Welp…. not a frozen shift rod! Stuck in second. Kb Tried to drive it down to the shop in 2nd so I could work on it there. Popped out of second part way down to the shop and then didn’t like going into second. So he shifted 1-3 the rest of the way. In the parking lot he lost all gears… so… time to pull this tranny! Fun fun!

Tranny is getting swapped…  about 1/2 way done..  Getting new mounts and anything else it might need to be a regularly used camper again!!!!

3.88, beetle stack of gears…. Great combo!   Makes 3-4th not such a big ol jump… and 1-3 are higher..

Back on this yesterday afternoon. Scraped the trans cradle area before power washing the engine bay and bottom side. 

Managed to get the axle tubes installed also. Back to it now.

We will build it if it comes.
