Yeah I have one year only 64 steel sunroof I would sale. Same price. Less rust, not as original. Bike roof rack included…or not.
Any leads yet Franz, I figured these would be gone by now…
“Life is a waterfall,
We’re one in the river and one again after the fall”I think I may have sold the lowered car back to the original owner’s family….they saw it on KSL. I’m not holding my breath. I have not received funds yet.
I’ve been trying to convince someone to build this tempo matador double cab.
Look up matador history if you don’t know about them. Predecessor to VW’s single cab. $2200
Cmon Franz! A couple weekends and you can get this going in the right direction!!! I mean, unless you had something cooler to build like a Barndoor hiding in a garage, like that ever happens…… 😉 😉 🙂
Congratulations to the new owner. Enjoy
Good job. Sooo, you now have a pocket full of $$$$$ and I still have this 68 that needs a home ?
awesome blossom!!!! This all worked out in time, like most things do….. 😎 😎 Timing was perfect… Franz never was left without a car…. !! 😎
Never make someone a priority, that makes You and Option. 🤔🤔🤔🥲

“Life is a waterfall,
We’re one in the river and one again after the fall”OG Bahama blue built in 63 with all the early features. Matching number transaxle and engine both functioning perfectly. No smoke, good compression, no leaks. Original tar board, and super nice original 1200cc all tuned up and stuff. Runs great year-round. 6 volt 4″ narrowed beam. dropped spindles, disc brakes front, re-drilled 5/130 drums rear. New axle boots, axles seals, brakes, clutch cable, master cylinder, brake hoses, king pins, link pins, shocks, ect. when I built it up a couple years ago. Empi 4.5″ and 5.5″ detailed chrome fuchs with custom milled slots on the end of the spokes. 125/80 front tires, and 205/70 rear tires are in fair shape. The chrome on the wheels has some small corrosion pits in the very bottom of the lip. (not too visible)….and I barely curb rashed the front driver. Nice original headliner, door panels, carpet and rubber mats. The front seats have been recovered and the rear seat is ratty. Seat belts installed. The body has obviously been repainted, and the red paint has seen better days…but has retained all its original bahama blue body parts fenders, hood, and decklid. This car was sold new at the L.H. Strong dealer in Salt Lake City, and comes with the license plate, and dealer frame from the first owner. It does have rust from driving on snow and salt, I have included pictures of the heater channels. Its not falling apart…but not a pretty either. The pan is solid. 970 986 2707 franzmuhr@gmail.com
Hi, is this still available? 🙂
There are two big apartment buildings and a Airstream trailer airbnb on that land now.
