Ohhhhh man! Gonna be sick!!!! JJ. About the drain holes on the rockers and under the b pillar. Let me know if it doesn’t make sense and I can get clarification. From Mark: ”Drivers side, there is one pressed drain hole under the b-pillar….that’s it. Nothing else down the whole rocker. Passenger side, pressed drain hole under the B-pillar, and three more down the rocker, but they stop short of the reserve hole. Easy answer for John is , leave dimple drain under driver’s side b pillar- and remove everyone back from there”
Ok… I understand.. It’s gonna happen maybe today…. 😎 any other little shits I need to focus on?? I’m gonna get those gates blasted in the next day or so too… Get them back on the truck, fit and body worked and primed… and then.. Shit.. Start slinging L31 like it’s water!!!!!!!! 😎 😎 😎
That old tilt.. is soooooo coooool!!! and soooooo worn out….. 😎 But cool as hell if thats a 1952 tilt!!!!
That should be the OG one! Cool to at least have on the shelf.
I think thats it. I crawled around it last time I was there and I think that’s all👍🏼👍🏼 I’m excited to see this thing back from apart. It’s been a long time coming for this old thing
What’s the backstory on this one?
came out of Canada I believe. Peter Valentine had it first I think. Then Bob out in New York had it before we got it. I have some photos of it before it was stripped I’ll dig out.

The truck was dug out of hibernation in Canada in the early 90s by John Kellestine. Peter Valentin owned ab-51, ..dingus

Drain dimples on Drivers side, minus the one on the B pillar, are gone. Pass side is correct…. Blasting gates tomorrow… 😎

Gates have been abrasively cleaned!!! and look fabulous!!!! Time to hang em back on the truck and check fits… These had Lexan hand cut spacers under most of the hinges.. weird..???? I guess they wanted em perfect.. and I will strive for the same! 😎 Pics later people!!!!!!
Hey… anyone gonna speak up about the bottom??? it’s POR15 grey…. leave? wolfsburg sealer single stage???
Epic Truck! so awesome!
por15 underneath? wtf?
Por15 on a ‘52 SC?
No.
You have permission to paint it Wolfsburg sealer gray. Go for it! 😁😁😁😁
Thanks Pete… 😎 I don’t know why I even asked… 😎
Gates!!! Working gates today!!!!! I think we might be painting later this week!!!!! Bottom side first… That is going to be a ton of fun hand sanding the bottom side of this truck… and how about that treasure chest?? PAT!!!! 😎
Ya, supposed to be grey! The early commercials were more of a flat grey. Don’t know if that’s closer to the primer or Wolfsburg sealer you guys have. Grey underneath and grey in the TC. Back of treasure chest door, grey. Basically make the masking line behind the door seal. Everything inside is grey. You know all that
