Driver status now. Small projects are fun. 2 months of weekends. Ready to rip for ski season.
What an awesome car ! Hell yes Franz !
Its looking good with the other red cars.
The dash was hacked. I riveted in a piece of stainless with hooks to hold a Bluetooth speaker.I gave things a look over, installed Empi lady bug floor mats, and made a fuel pressure by-pass oriface to prevent flooding.
The idea is a small hole drilled between the inlet and outlet will keep pressure off of the carb inlet valve when the engine is not running.
I like that heat soak fix Franz!!!!
I like the BT speaker rack, nice!
1958 Outlaw Beetle
i love this car. I have been really thinking of raising my car up. I can’t decide between stock, just a little low in the front or kind of high like the bug in this post from earlier. I just want my car to drive nice on the crappy roads here.
Been daily driving for a few months now. Gave it a good look over, fixed a leaking axle seal, and brake adjust today.
Love the look of this car Franz. Makes me want to paint the wheels on my bus…
Spring at 801 kimball ave. Our apple tree has stellar blossoms for like 3 days every year.
This is great time for cruising palisade backroads through orchard country.
I kept the bike rack from the other car…got around to modifying it to fit new longer/bigger mountain bikes. And installed on this car.
Hell yeah… Love this rack… Franz is a “Rack Master”!!! 😎
Who doesn’t love a big rack??!???!
My friend Weston hooked me up with this Weber carb replacement for a 34pict3. Anybody ever see one of these? They’re crazy. It has the 34 mounting with a 30mm throttle plate. Looks like a 1984 production date judging by the tag.
Direct bolt on, and runs great with a 009 distributor. Definitely more intricate than a solex. Plunger type accelerator pump, and adjustable idle jet.
