These red 63/64 cars seem to keep finding me. Jesse hooked me up with this one from Glenwood last year.
The plan is to go for an outlaw-look..not really lowered, but with aggressive fat tires…ralley style.
Its not perfect, but very promising & just the way I like them.DarioParticipantAugust 4, 2019 at 5:49 pmPost count: 503

The low rider is a cool ass car. Hopefully someone scoops something up to help the $$ situation.

Brake job over the weekend. I blasted/painted backing plates and drums while I had them apart.
I was ready to bleed the brakes, and found the pedal was seized due to a mouse nest in the tunnel…looks like I have more cleaning to do.John JonesKeymasterAugust 12, 2019 at 8:30 amPost count: 6339
Franz got a lot done this weekend!!!! 😎 Getting himself ahead.. One red beetle at a time!!!!! 😎 It’s honestly a gift that we can build our own cars…. 😎 😎FranzKeymasterAugust 12, 2019 at 8:53 amPost count: 3372
Yeah, not having a car payment is a huge benefit of being a car builder.
I’m sooo looking forward to cleaning the piss soaked nest out of the tunnel.Critter1ParticipantAugust 12, 2019 at 9:07 amPost count: 223
Nasty shit that has to be done.

I had that same issue with my heater tube on the bus. Always smelt like pine needles and mouse piss whenever there was heat going through it.:) Finally cut it out when I did the Subi swap.

Poop drippin soup
Packed from front to back with rat nest.. I used the vacuum, pressure washer, and drain cleaner through all the tunnel access spots.
I rebuilt a different pedal assembly during the evenings last week also. Roller pedal for less moving parts.Baja MarkParticipantAugust 18, 2019 at 11:32 amPost count: 393
That looked like it sucked. Did you get any come back in your face using the pressure washer?!FranzKeymasterAugust 18, 2019 at 10:05 pmPost count: 3372
Yep 👎🏻 It was gross. I took a sink shower after.FranzKeymasterAugust 18, 2019 at 10:12 pmPost count: 3372
I had a good weekend after power washing Saturday….I cleaned up the old 1500cc h case short block that came with the car. New P&L kit, stacked with refurbished tin and new exhaust parts supplies by the previous owner of the project.
I just ran it for 10 minutes and dropped the oil. Stoked with everything.🤙RustabusParticipantAugust 19, 2019 at 7:20 amPost count: 1845
Damn! That motor looks Nice!!!! I’m still pullin turds outta my Baja, think I need to cut the ends of my heater channels out and give them a good hosing!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂Baja MarkParticipantAugust 19, 2019 at 9:36 amPost count: 393
