How’d the Kandy come out?
Dan is going to be glamping now!! Im interested to see this battery set up
Painting went awesome yesterday. I finished the 4th coat of clear at 11pm.
I feel worn out this morning. But the results are worth it.
Turned out great!! Mike will have the best street Baja out there! 😊ðŸ¤ðŸ˜‰
Old Skool guy that I am, I have a true soft spot for metal flake. This looks great !
I’ve been fighting a cold for a few days. Hope to come by the shop today. (I will wear a mask) I got pulled over in my truck on my way to the doctor Saturday, something about plates that expired in 17. Then he pointed out that my drivers license expired last October. I have to go take care of that.
Yum -that paint looks so tasty!
Got everything dialed in on Dans diesel gas heater install this afternoon. Â Puts out tons of heat!!!
Had to bend a few brackets for mounting, drill a couple of holes in the floor for intake and exhaust, run intake exhaust and duct piping, mount the fuel tank, and run fuel and electric lines.
Also installed a fuse panel under the bed that is easily accessible and handles all of the duties for the secondary battery system.
Made a couple of protective shields for the wiring/fuel line track and fuel pump so Dan can still use his storage under there.Â
splash shield for the intake.
Took it for a test drive. Went good for a bit but shifting felt a little strange. Called our builder after we all test drove it. They think it’s the aftermarket nose cone that was produced incorrectly that they’re just discovering they got a batch of and just recently diagnosed the issue after starting to hear from customers all having the same issue.  Pulling everything back out now to remedy the issue.
Sorry Dan.Â
We will build it if it comes.
Pat what kinda heater is this one??
And how big is the tank, man this is gonna be a awesome bus
Not sure what brand the heater is Johnny, no manufacture name on it, Dan got it off of eBay. Fuel tank is about 1.5 gal.
Got everything back together. Shift smooth as butter and runs great. Nose cone was the issue.
We will build it if it comes.
I see you posted at 11:23Â that is going above and beyond Pat. Thought you would be doing that today. I was a bit speechless when a saw that you had taken it all apart again.
Nice work Pat!
I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.
Vroom!!!! Keep em running!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
