We might need to add some of that aluminum mesh onto the race car’s scoop! Looks pretty bitchin.

Killing it Pat! Seems like you’ve pretty much handled this project the entire way through.

The panel/flake paint job is going to be ridiculous. I’m excited to do it…..seems like Mike has built the car with it in mind from the beginning. I’ve been doing my homework on layout and techniques.

    I haven’t posted a single picture this week… wow…   Last Sunday I started on this little moab mishap… 😎

Broken outer dog leg bumper mounts…  stripped out threads and missing hardware… I doubt the outside was ever bolted on.. which is somewhat common… 😎  I noticed last time they painted these bumpers they just left them together… I Shoulda thought of that!! what a time saver… 😎  I ended up tearing the bumper down and redoing the whole thing…. it came out tit’s…!

anyway.. Oddly enough… I forgot to take a finished pic… But I got everything repaired painted and reinstalled. and Baird on his way!!!  Chip.. You next???? 😎

The product of every old man that took the time to teach me something 😎😎😎. Thanks❤️

We’ve been promoting driving them for years. Everything on a VW is repairable….some things in life are not.

Baird’s bus is in better condition than it was before the scrape. 😆

Thanks for fixing Baird’s bus. I was literally “rockin” on Shafer trail. But I think I better wait for Franz to be back at full strength.

    Mike loves flashy and loud!!

We stuffed the front window in yesterday.BD0FED9D-A401-4A2E-9368-7FE9C4D0AB3F

I fought with WW window regulators that we ordered. They fit like crap and had to be reshaped. In the end they went in the dumpster. I harvested some OGs from the stash. They dropped right in and work like butter!!

Door panels in, mechs and handles, everything  works great!BB619238-5EE6-4494-B8E6-16172270002730163316-BF31-463E-9CDD-AF7ED64EACFC4628B597-3A2F-4219-B31D-8A0F7F7A4C47

Mike dropped of oil lines also. Started fitting cooler to housing last night.  Back to it this morning. 34873952-1B17-4EC5-919B-FB5ED4D6ECCE54F93D51-CDA3-472C-B917-CCFB62ED6CD0

We will build it if it comes.
