Finished maintenance on the last Baird‘s fleet this morning.
Had to chase down a ground short in the 58’ vert horn system. Pain in the butt but got it. Screams with all 6V of fury now.
Ready to roll into some nice spring driving when it arrives.
We will build it if it comes.Pat KKeymasterFebruary 12, 2020 at 9:01 amPost count: 1271
Seat frame resto yesterday for a local guy Jim.
Made some repairs to springs, swapped out one backrest and spring set. Sandblasted and epoxy sealed everything. Frames painted ivory.
We will build it if it comes.Pat KKeymasterFebruary 13, 2020 at 5:45 pmPost count: 1271
Working on Dales 90’s custom in the Parkway today.
Oil change, torque heads, adjust valves, timing, wiring for an idiot light, clutch adj, misc. other little bits we could squeeze into the budget.
Future plans for a dual carb set up, and some more wiring work.
We will build it if it comes.unkParticipantFebruary 14, 2020 at 12:47 pmPost count: 384

Have a cool ski rack project planned for next week.
….And people are getting tax returns. So I expect the phone to start ringing with “Hey I have this ol’ VW my grandpa gave me, been sitting for 20 years, can you guys rebuild the whole thing for around $500?”FranzKeymasterMarch 6, 2020 at 7:00 pmPost count: 3373

Looks like a fun project. How will it attach to the decklid?
I hope the guy loads it up with some equipment and uses it.mtnbusParticipantMarch 8, 2020 at 6:30 amPost count: 1033

Robb was an awesome guy… I would say I barely knew him… wish I could have spent more time with the guy…. I’ve heard a few stories about him… He’s a Colorado Bus guy Legend!!! 😎FranzKeymasterMarch 10, 2020 at 8:14 amPost count: 3373
