That’s basically a new bus Rusty! Awesome!
We got all of Emilee’s 79 engine parts today also.
Currently the 23 window and the ultimate vanagon are on the lift. Pat is removing dead wires and unused connectors from the harness.
55-57 OG deluxe trim rings arrived. I’m going to tap some dents out.
Sweet! Thanks Franz! Emilee is very excited

The 55 deluxe has been getting the treatment. I’ve done most everything on the bottom side that I could see or feel. Time to address the paint and interior.
Checked every bolt/nut I could get a wrench on.
Installed brake line mounts and axle lock plates(all of which were loose).
Detailed the torsion covers and spring plates(had paint over-spray).
Re-sealed the backing plate/axle.
torqued heads
adjusted valves
greased beam
new choke cable
new accelerator cable, linkage, and return spring
Replaced heater tube wrap and hose clamps with correct foil/glass and twist/cotter pin straps.
New german type battery ground strap.
Nice Franz… Β I hope we can get some busses sent home!!! Β We have been packed around the shop lately..

Little stuff. Spent forever tapping little dings out of these OG trim rings, two rings dated 3/55 and two rings dated 2/56. They look nice.
I’m having problems with the driver door. The hinge welds/rivets are loose, so the door is sagging/hitting. I’m about to pull it off to do some welding.
