Few more from yesterday.
We will build it if it comes.
Pleeeeeeeease tell us you’re gonna straight axle it?!? Would look so badass on gasburners👊👊
Sorry. RGB’s, Stock height, stock wheels.
Haha
Stock rocks.
Its going to be a sleeper. Big engine, big gears, disc brakes. shhh
How are you feeling about tires? BFG a/t? 215/75
ROCKROD!! 💲💲🔥🔥
Super happy with this paint job… It does not need any buffing… it has perfect commercial orange peel!!!!!!!! 😎
I’m ready for Franz to order up an assy kit for this thing!!!! maybe we need to move the parts lay out up to monday….
Doors tomorrow.. Gates on Tuesday….. Then Wednesday every part for the dc is laid out on the dirty shop floor, hardware and all…. Start prepping hardware for assembly…. Thursday window frames and some stuff… Friday paint black parts for assy!!! Paint paint paint till Monday… Then I am down for a bit….
I do think we are going to start seeing this color more and more… 😎
The product of every old man that took the time to teach me something 😎😎😎. Thanks❤️
This bus came out sooooo awesome. Looks so good in person. Perfect!
Sorry. RGB’s, Stock height, stock wheels
Excellent choice!!
Paint looks really nice!
Sounds like a busy week this week!
Franz, I do like the BFG’s, but I think I’m going to go for less aggressive tire. I’m not looking for OG Bias Plys, instead some “stock looking” Radials. The bus is more likely to be riding on the concrete here in N. Texas than the landscape you all have in Colorado & Utah. I did some lookin’ online last night at tires and there is a too much info. You mentioned to look for 215/75/15, but on TS they all say 205/75/15 is closest to stock. I just want to make sure I’m looking at the right stuff for the engine, gearing, and fit in the wheel wells. Please confirm.
Loving the pictures of how this came out. Keep’em coming.
Yeah, 205 is probably better. The 215/75 can be tough to get in an early rear wheel well.
firestone destination?
goodyear assurance?
I’m not sure what all the cool kids on samba say.

I think we had some geolanders on our dc before I switched them to bfg’s. I liked them
Franz, I do like the BFG’s, but I think I’m going to go for less aggressive tire.
I think that’s a good idea, especially for your use. I run bfgs or grabbers on gravel roads around here and they throw sooo much gravel, and rocks as big as 3/4″ at my fenderwells! Hate to see that on your truck. The off road tires are cool looking. But they are heavier, rougher riding, and the gravel thing. Most peeps, including me, are not offroading to the extreme that the max traction is needed, it’s just for looks. And the weight makes a big difference, even with a larger motor.
About to paint removables!!!!! Not even noon yet!!! 😎
Laying out parts to check and make sure of what we have and don’t have…
The product of every old man that took the time to teach me something 😎😎😎. Thanks❤️
Removables are sealed and look awesome… about to lay down some L21…
Been going through parts…. I don’t see a speedo, turn signal switch, headlight switch, wiper switch, or wiper motor, linkage assy….. Mike… Are these things you still have.?? Your wiring looked “ok”.. but for $300 I think we will stat with a new one.. this one was already installed last paint job.. so it;s got paint etc on it…
