The buggy. All the kick ass details that Franz did. I just put a bigger engine in it recently. Still looks great and turns more heads than my face.

Cool, I wanted to show off some wheels, and I just happened to see this thread!  I made these this weekend.  Had some machine access, and I thought it would be fun.  Identical 3d scanned spokes from a deep 6 15 incher.  Then I expanded it to a 16 inch 3 piece version.  I’ll do 5.5 wide on the front and 6.5 on the rear of my Beetle project.  Still waiting on rim halves and center caps, so I’ve got time to polish and detail.  More to come!

Thanks y’all.  Yep they’re all programmed out and reproducible.  They should polish up pretty easily.  It’s been a crazy project, but i think they’re gonna turn out awesome.

The only sad part is that it costs so much more to make your own wheels than it does to just go buy some.  Oh well lol.

My kombi has some 16’s on it, and a narrowed rear..  I was planning on repops.. but shit.. to have some world famous Mat Faulkner wheels might be worth it..,

Haha nowhere near the empi repop range, but i wouldn’t charge John Jones any more for a set than it costs me to make it.  I’ll let ya know how bad the $ is when they’re finished.
