Test Pilot @ Submarine AirwaysMy dumb ass has been contemplating selling this rig… To help replinish the funds I spent the last 10 weeks or so…. 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 Offroad racing…. and I want to do more 😎 😎 😎 … and I RARELY drive this truck!!!!… For instance… I have owned it since 2013… and have only put 20,000 miles on it since I bought it!!!!! I already have 8000 miles on my new bus motor I put in in NOV 2020…. 😎 Not bad for a body dropped dually rig I guess. It lives outside, it could use a fresh paint job… but mechanically and electrically, it is the best it has ever been right now… I think it has been rebuilt front to back top to bottom… but… I could just work harder and earn that shit back……… 😎
Those front fenders…. the front bumper, the wheels… the lugs…. sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The product of every old man that took the time to teach me something 😎😎😎. Thanks❤️
I dunno John, your chopper and your dually are great sidetracks for a guy who lives, breathes and eats VW’s 7 days a week!!! Keep Em!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Anybody need some Ford rims?!?!?😉👍
So Rusty, now many do you have and how much do you want ?
😀They are for Franz, sounds like he has quite a stash of them and some sort of fence plan…….
Blue Thunder is alive again!!! I put zero priority on maintenance of this Rig but at least didn’t drive it once I noticed my fuel lines were shot! Replaced now and I’ll roll it around and give it some more love!!!!😀 And now I can easily tote around the Jon boat and waste time on that!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Yea Rusty !
You have the coolest stuff
Here’s a cool bit of racing history for sale

Test Pilot @ Submarine Airways45 years of vws and this is my first working semaphore car 🙂
All fun and games till one started smoking 🙁
Who do you you guys send these to?
Dang! 12 volt? You left it on for too long to take that picture??
Matt’s parts in Canada has been the semiphore expert for years. He advertises on samba. I’ve seen guys replace the windings themselves. Just have to make some custom pins and rivets to reassemble them.
No, 6 volt. And it wasn’t on that long. Might have had something to do with the contact cleaner I sprayed in it 5 minutes earlier, and the giggling about the clackers working. Figured Matt was the go to.
