Cheers Rusty, run it every day to work and back.
The top on this land cruiser looks strange. Is it anything desirable?
Those old Land Cruisers are in pretty high demand amongst the collectors and the Overland crowd. The guys here in East TN go absolutely ape shit over them.
Would be interested in what year that is. Looks like one of the really early J20 or J30 models vs the J40. The 1955-1960 models had those 3 window tops with the ribs around the side windows. If its in salvageable shape and can be had for a decent price, it might be worth snatching up to turn a few bucks on. The 70’s models seem to be all over the place and really bringing the bucks. But the ones that are that old arent nearly as prevalent. My neighbor has 3 of them from the 70’s, I’ll show him the pic and see what he may know about it.
Looks to be 64/65 ish Land Cruiser FJ40. Here is some examples.

These and other Toyota trucks are shooting up in value fast. With your skills and mechanical knowledge, I’d be all over this!
The early ones had that bifolding style rear window as well as the corrugated sides on the hardtop. Good flipper right there if the price is right and I’m guessing very little rust because you fuckers live on the right side of the country for old cars hahaha
Franz is good at getting you guys amped up. LOL!!
We will build it if it comes.
Meh, I don’t care about land cruisers.
I’ll tell you where its at for $100. 🙂
Went along to C&C yesterday.
So many nice rides showed up.
Badass 356! And the RHD caddy is crazy.
Building a 2.5” narrowed beam for Ryan Gale today. Fully tig welded caster beam.
Yeah, that 356 and the Europa Ferrari are sweet!
What’s up folks? Still check these pages on the daily just don’t have much time to post. Lots of hours on the new job! Glad to watch this KCW machine do what it does. Thanks for the updates to keep people like me dreams alive.
As always have a safe productive day.😁
Yeah, I like having a place to live and food to eat.
Brass bushing machined and fit perfectly. Wagens West beefcake adjusters are the best.
I was very careful not to get it too hot welding. Should be strong, strait, and light.
Nice work Franz!
