yeah.. I guess I will put it back together and if it shifts and sounds good….. I’ll cross my fingers and run it!!!

My end gear was pretty rough fulcrums really rough and found a bearing with a bad cage in it..  maybe it will be quieter.

Eddie called me yesterday from painters.  He finally opened up the trans we took out of the pamper right before shasta…   He said it is smoked!!!  I think I am overheating my tranny’s…  too much weight, too much power…  I bet my current trans is smoked too… 8-(    Now I gotta install a trans cooler like a automatic?????  who ever heard of that dumb shit??  😎

Eddie thinks the reducs are killing me!!!  He thinks I should consider late bus IRS????????  5 rib trans… Anyone got one they will sell me??  I’m considering it…..

I’m running type I IRS trans, and have had the same issue. My trans builder says the Subi guys have issues with the type II as well from two much horse power. My next move, if this new trans doesn’t hold up, is a Subi five speed.

Pamper is back together… and a fresh rebuild is ready set aside…

I also got the engine out of the kombi…  going to consolidate broken stuff and have more runners… 😎  3 months till Glenn Helen… plenty of time to fix the 11 car AND do some camping and riding around in the rail!!!  😎  I’m considering just ditching the turbo setup..  😎   the dual carb motor will run like champ for ever!!!  😎

Mendeola!!!!  On reduc’s!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thats what I need!

Looks like the bearing cap seal needs replaced… I didn’t bother till I made sure it shifted and shit… 😎  That dark spot is it dripping from within.. 😎

Looks like the pamper is fully functional again… woo.. dodged a bullet!   maybe…. 😎

I wanna go camping…. and riding around on or in something in the desert.. 😎  Something light weight you can tow with a bus.. 😎  Hopefully able to gather a few other friends too!!!   with side by sides, dirt bikes, mini bikes, sand rails, buggy’s and baja’s..   Going out in groups and having fun is absolutely the BEST!!!  But JJ needs to take it easier on his camper…. 😎  I gotta tow and sleep in that rig!!  It’s my home when I’m not home!!! I always have a warm safe place to lay my head at night… no matter where I wonder… 😎

Pulled the sandrail engine yesterday.. TWO holes in the case, that line up perfectly with 1 and 3 rods… 😎  weird!!!!!  Maybe I didn’t clearance that damn case enough???  I think a bubble top aluminum is in this rails future.  I can’t bring myself to ruin the kombi motor in the rail….  I don’t have shit $$ wise in this rail.. So I am going to try and keep it that way and do the cheapest fix possible… buy a case… 😎

I have an AS41 T3  case if you need it. Completely bare. No nuts , bolts, washers…nothing. Just the case.

I unfortunately I think we have a total lose here.. 8-(   EVERY single one of the piston buttons came out and fell into the bottom of the case…

I will never ever ever ever ever use another piston button for the rest of my life…  Thankyou. 😎

I’m not sure that I have ever seen one that beat up that didn’t have a crankshaft broken into pieces !  Sorry John. That sucks major balls.

Ya think the with trying to keep the compression low that the piston pin location was coming out the bottom of the cylinder hole?

FUCK!!  I can’t say it enough!!! fuck.. so disappointed.  Must be my year to learn expensive lessons…

Lifter bore broke, cam shaft broke in two, lifters fucked, cam fucked, 2 rods bent, every cyclinder fucked with a deep groove, heads look like caca… fck fuck fuck…

I think the wrist pin set up on these pistons is narrower? never heard of this… but looks like the culprit.  I should have used the clips damnit. damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit,, should have used the fucking clips…………..
