Check the alignment stuff yesterday too. 3/8” toe-in on the rear for driving drifty, and zero on the front.

Pamper is dialed.. and is now Rugged Radio installed too, intercom also.. 😎  We can wear headsets or helmets.. Blue tooth to the radio and cell phone… and talk on the radio and listen in on the car from the bus… 😎  Or not… 😎

Love the intercom in the bus!!!  You can talk on phone while driving!! and hear it all!!! and them hear you!!!!  and listen to music and have individual volumes!!!!  I like my shit loud!!  no one else does… 😎

Bummer, it was so cool to see it out there. I am sure we can source some repair sections, I might know of a late 50’s beetle locally for repair sections above the door if you don’t have one at the compound. Maybe put the oval on an IRS pan? Seems like they are able to corner better without the wheel tuck?

yep.  You could tell from the stands that 1131 had the speed and power to win.   on the start and the back straight away….you always made time on the group.      Cornering seemed to be really tight once the front-end grabbed…,,,especially on the tight corners like the finish line corner and the corner where you flipped.     it almost look like you were fighting to high-side it on those corners while most of the cars could dig-in and floor it.     it was fun watching tho.        The crowd loved the Class 11 cars.   Everyone seemed to pick out a favorite color or something and routed for them the whole way.     John, the crowd was really digging your car…….an oval race car……people noticed.            Can’t wait for next year.

Yeah the rules kind of suck because they say the body had to match the pan year/style.

They are trying to avoid a link pin / IRS car that VW never made….The rule should just say pan and suspension as delivered from VW. So that any year body could be used on any year pan to make it easier for replacement.

It’s either an oval or it’s not 😎.  This oval is dead 😢.  Bums me out.. although, I think 1131 has made a mark in its short lived Class 11 career 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁.  And unlikely forgotten any time soon🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

Looks like the top of the roof didn’t ever touch the ground! Like all the impact of the roll was on the sides. That drivers door is nuts… I’m sure you could porta-power that thing straight again

Scott has a baja oval huh?  That would pretty much put the 1131 back in the game..  😎  But next time… I am redesigning my rear suspension to never ever go positive camber… ever. 😎

Drop the trans in the horns to get rid of positive camber, Limit the rear to only drop to level when it drops out.. no positive, none. it sucks.. 😎 smaller wider tires for short course, the big yokohama’s are awesome for desert racing!!!!   Put the big ass shocks on this time.. and make em stiff to absorb them big jumps..   Stiff on the big stuff, light on the small stuff??  Can we have both?? 😎 😎   The front seemed fine to me.. 😎  Maybe run it a tad lower, a tad..

I put the Oval in the back of the court yard area..  So I don’t have to look at it… 😎
