We restored this BEAUTIFUL PGSG bus a few years back….     And then it sat waiting for an interior ever since.  KB has been lucky enough to collect most of the KEY pieces and decided to bring it back over here to KCW…. 😎 😎  So… Here ya go… Were gonna walk you guys through a bitchen interior install!!!   Lucky enough for us….  Kevin brought us an example of exactly what he wants and expects.. 😎

We need to sand and resurface the old stuff, cut all the rear wood panels, like the floor and roof and sides..  Commercial style in the cab..

Retro-sound insulation arrived today. We ordered 6 rolls, installed all of them today. We’re going to need to order 3 or so more rolls to finish the cab area, cargo doors, and rear parcel tray area.0BD52BD7-915E-4C16-AA60-6BBBD2EC0E7F005F700D-E765-47ED-B3F7-659CC2CE5AB1669E3007-D876-4E33-ADEC-AD72988B5CF0B8CFE7EA-63EB-438D-9550-9CE1337ABC98

Started cutting interior panels for this yesterday afternoon. Walls and roof panels are birch, floor is hardwood ply. All new panels will be veneered with the correct Limba wood.A26E74F7-7C3E-49E0-96FC-85F23680F6C65FEF6DC2-3262-44B3-BFF9-ADC800B44197BFEBE787-B955-465C-948B-8B1AC0295692

Finished up all but the rear corners today.

Lighter panels are Baltic birch that are avail in 5’x5’ for ceiling panels.

For the long side we needed a larger panel to accommodate the length, decided on birch hardwood panel from HD, not near as flexible but will work great for flat panels since we’re going to veneer them. 7CAFD9CC-1A24-412F-B08D-32E9718BC444D46B300A-252C-47D3-AABC-D62655397FF80A4B0DD2-28CE-4FF7-A515-C8FF61D69FC6

Looking really good, Pat.  Did you guys find a source for the Limba veneer yet?

We took the Goodrich bus to the paint store to have the westy interior tan paint matched. Trying to mask and paint the interior today.

    Ahhhh…😘… Thanks Willy.

Made a template for corners yesterday, cut panels, and test fit. These were the last two panels we had to make. All panels ready for veneer. 2CCBBB09-F2EC-4518-9F43-39DADA24584290E05FD4-9A1A-4716-BAE9-ABC4BE1B675B953B6D42-D561-477A-9F20-A39510715640

Started sanding on one end of a cabinet this morning. They will clean up nicely. Going to hit the HD today to search out a clear or tinted Polyurethane that will match original finish.07F2B249-C5B6-4F0B-AECF-BFB259122C86
