I do have a velocity ring. Hopefully the heater tube mesh trick will help.

I do have wood panels. The birch panels that were leftover from the 58 westy. I just need to make two more cargo door panels(dd so no need for the long panel) and I need to decide wether to cut a new headliner panel or cut a subhatch in my bus…🤔🤔🤔😆 hahaha kidding

Looks like the side where the brakes gave up the adjusters turned themselves in and allowed the cylinder to pop out of the bore… I need to bend the adjuster tabs up to make sure they don’t do that again and I’ll put everything back together tomorrow. I have some new brake parts to put in. Gotta replace the brake hard line T as well.

Probably… I was thinking about making a trip out to fix that one but I’m running out of time. AND bad news… Emilee and I tested positive for covid a few days ago… dammit. Merry Christmas to us haha. She feels like she has a cold. I have no symptoms. My mom lost her taste and smell a few days ago so we got tested… so this quarantine is going to take some more time away… hopefully we stay feeling only mild symptoms

Emilee and I are doing much better! She was hurting pretty bad a couple days ago. But she’s on the mend! I luckily have really had no symptoms. Just some headaches and a day of no taste. But it’s back now..? So weird. This whole thing has been weird. We are lucky just at my parents house, us two with the pups. The rest of my family is in st George staying away from us haha. We have family and friends close by that are bringing us supplies! So we are all set for the rest of our quarantine

Ticking stuff off the list! Getting dialed for Shasta! Can’t wait.

finally fixed my brakes. New T in the back. The old one I stuffed a bolt into to block off the driver rear wheel when my brake cylinder went out last summer and messed the threads all up. 58589BB7-8B56-4839-B893-81CD93D30909684E73D6-CDD3-40C9-9B23-1D0D79F4D913Brakes feel good! I even got some help from Emilee and the pups with bleeding the brakes!;) and got gear oil changed670EAC39-B9F6-49F1-A9FF-66436F748FF3F221A9D5-0AB0-4090-AAA0-6388E9D1BB95nico helped me swap out my old burned up 6v wiper motor for a nice 12v one thanks to Franz. The old one burned up the new WW armature during that crazy snow storm I got stuck in in McCall, ID last spring heading to Utah for first quarantine haha 016E5814-49E1-4824-BB8F-1D5B1B1DD06Agot the dome lights all cleaned up and working! They had some corrosion and the switches were bent so they weren’t working. Psyched for some light inside! 9920D709-FE7B-4E5F-9335-50DBAC7DB6D2Copied Wayners way of attaching the sway bar. faBROcation! Hopefully it’ll stay on during Shasta! I sway real bad after raising the bus up. So hopefully this will help me stay in my lane. Did the alignment as well58C8B401-C233-4E38-A358-511C451500A93B93B2CD-E0A2-4E1D-BC99-8245EFA836B8Now the fun begins! The screws holding the window frames in were pretty stuck. But luckily they came out with some soaking. I’m excited to get the rattles and leaks all fixed!

finishing my list up! Getting there. Need to finish the window frames on both sides, rebuild the fresh air box, rebuild a couple camper windows so they don’t rattle, wood panels in the interior and I need to tune my carbs! Then I’ll be right as rain!;) excited to get back in my bus! Been to long. Shasta is such a good time! Can’t wait.

This bus is nice and OG😎 love tearing into OG stuff. Cool to see. But does mean some stuff is stuck… but I have a few tricks I’ve learned in the dirty shop to get it done!

ya, trying to finally get this thing dialed! It’s been very usable but not all the comforts have been finished. This will be a nice push for this bus.

any word on your trans at painters? If I need to make a stop at KCW before Shasta to stab your trans, let me know! A wrench party thrash before heading out would be fun! It’s Shasta! Whatever it takes to go is worth it!
