Yea, Heavy Rebel. 50% nice cars, 50% jackasses with too many fake rats, and cans of flat black spray paint. Still one of my favorite shows!RustabusParticipantJuly 9, 2018 at 9:40 pmPost count: 1776
Yup! I’d roll that Bus EVERY DAY!!!!!!!Vwsarent4hippiesParticipantNovember 12, 2018 at 9:26 amPost count: 101
Last Wednesday I thrashed on this thing for about 18hrs putting the new transmission together, and getting it all installed. Finished at 1230am, drove it to the gas station, then left for Florida Thursday morning! 1500+ miles this weekend and not a single hiccup, very pleased. Bulli Brigade 25 is in the books, and I didn’t take one photo at the show!JbParticipantNovember 12, 2018 at 2:23 pmPost count: 563

Some recent work. Mark Rafferty was nice enough to replace my vent window latches for me, and press them back together with his fancy press. These rivet squeezers are the jam for the pivot rivets.
Also threw on a hitch from Jeremyrockjock to tow my Heilite. Aaaand some new rockers on the pass side. Driver’s side forthcoming. Pics!PeteParticipantJanuary 21, 2019 at 5:25 pmPost count: 813

Pecking away at this thing trying to make it more comfortable/ quiet. Camping season is coming!
Also started insulating, and getting new panels from Clara installed:FranzKeymasterMarch 5, 2019 at 8:54 amPost count: 3114
Looking good. Where did you get the bluetooth unit?
Don’t put that foil back stuff behind the fuse block.Vwsarent4hippiesParticipantMarch 5, 2019 at 9:34 amPost count: 101

what a great bus! inspires me to dig my junk out from the corner of the garage 🙂Vwsarent4hippiesParticipantMarch 7, 2019 at 6:10 amPost count: 101
Everywhere but the front doors and roof is getting a layer of Fatmat followed by mass loaded vinyl from SecondSkin. The MLV is super heavy/ dense, which is why I didn’t put it on the roof. Seems more likely to hold water too, which is why it didn’t go in the doors. Fatmat takes the panel vibration out, MLV provides the sound/ temperature insulation. Lots of info out there on this stuff, decoupling layers, etc. It’s dumb, ha. Should be nice and quiet!volksaddictParticipantMarch 7, 2019 at 6:23 amPost count: 534
Very nice job on the insulation. Makes a difference in these tin boxes.Douglas E FreshParticipantApril 19, 2019 at 8:43 amPost count: 116
