Almost Sounds like a vintage Volkswagen hahaha

Man…I was hoping this was going to be a simple replace the coil and tune up day at the spa. oh well….here we go.
Looks like the oil cooler is the cause of the oil leak. I ordered a new clutch this morning and sent the lever shocks to apple hydraulics.
Not yet, I was planning to take your tuck to Dougās shop for the canvas work. We need an engine to do that.
Sounds good Franz, didnāt know if he was just going to drop over and get measurements ,for the canopy
Got a call from Painter’s about the engine. Its bad. They said it needed a case and crank. Estimated about $3500 to repair the longblock. I told them I needed to let you know before we can proceed.
Franz ,I Ā will give you a call on Monday. I Ā am down in Del Norte Colorado this weekend.
Said oil cooler leak on the 47
Mirror type hinge pin. I’m almost certain that it wouldn’t. Maybe extra for increased safety? Should we with a regular flat type hinge pin? Or leave it alone. Or mirror?
Pat delivered this 70 ghia today after a general “fix everything” full machine tune up job. Crazy nice original car with just as nice resto & details galore. For sale $60K rexshaw@msn.com
60K for a hard top Ghia? Nice car!
This is one nice Ghia. I was checking out while there for a week. Even has Bronco orange on the inside of rims. š
I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.

I noticed the hinge pin too but I agree….I don’t think its supposed to have a mirror. Right?
Also, do we have a correct star coil for it yet or do I need to keep looking?
I have not found a star coil. Research on samba indicates that the skinny version is for VW part number TL 6/1. I also found some info that says “moon” coil with production code “C” would be the most correct for 1947. The “star” version came out in 1948.

Thanks for the education….a āCā Moon Coil huh?….that should be fun to find.
Pat chopped and dropped the hoops 2 1/2″ Lines up better with the rack and will fit the enclosed trailer.
