Finally got this motherfucker to run under load without spittin’ and sputterin’. I still think I need to have a shop do a crankshaft variation relearn, still getting a random misfire code, but this piece of shit runs!

Have a VW Tiguan to repair, another tree/hurricane incident to fix, then maybe get on with a slam job and some new treads.

Wow that roof was jacked Corey. Nice job on the repair.

Thanks man. It really needed a skin, but they said it would have totaled out.

I bet Corey feels like this car is ruining his truck time.

Yeah but it gave me some extra cash for the drop kit.  🙂

I imagine that work is somehwhat fun since you don’t do it daily much anymore.. that I am aware of. ?

It was somewhat fun, everything else but removing and installing the headliner. that was a bitch.

Finished Wifes car last weekend. Threw in the new fuel pump and while I had the bed off I beat out the caved in bedside near the fuel filler. Also, changed the fuel pressure regulator, had to pull the whole intake manifold. that sucked. Runs decent now, has some bullshit sound coming for leaks in the exhaust??? On to that shit next.

I’m 39 going on 50. Seven years later and still not diggin’ this Gov gig. Thinking of going private sector or small business owner, haven’t decided. Been married a half decade, time flies.

Planning on changing the fuel pump, pressure regulator and filter this weekend. also get the wife’s car wrapped up. fuck trees and hurricanes.

So is this rig slammed yet??? You’ve had more than a week to work on it.. ? ? ? ? the standard 5-7 drop… ? When my daughter was like one I bought a brand new extended cab chevy and slammed it one weekend while corporate was at work….. that was quite the challenge.. to watch the 1 year old and lower a truck…. Still remember that weekend… good times… ? ?

No. Per usual, something always happens to derail my progress.

A tree fell in the yard, I guess a hurricane left over that hadn’t fallen already, clipped my wifes car, crushed the roof, busting the sunroof and also pushing in the rear quarter. insurance was going to total it if I wanted a skin, so I pushed it back out and went to the junkyard today and picked up a new sunroof assembly.

Truck has some other drivability issues to attend to before the cool shit. Slowly knocking out those things out.  I did get it registered tagged and titled yesterday.

    I’m old and tired.

Love my 4dr one ton truck…

Loved my 1 tons too, but always wanted a 1/2 ton crew. I still have my uncompleted squarebody dually 3/4 ton project. Currently changing out the rockers and cab corners on it. damn rust.

Better take Jones up on his binz offers….so that you can buy bags, wheels, c-notchs, and all that other junk minitruckers waste money on.

Binz ain’t for sale. I’m going to restore it someday. lol

just gonna do a 5/7 drop mini-c notch on the SS wheels. Daily driver status. Trying to replace my over priced Tacoma. Done making car payments.

What makes rare? Most of them are 2500 or 3500? Looks clean for being old as it is.

I’m not sure on the numbers, but there aren’t many 1/2 ton crew cabs. the 2500 and 3500 trucks were factory produced. this one had a 37″ stretched frame and not sure what cab they started with, but you can see where they sliced and diced. Kind of like a Binz.
