WTB: '60 or earlier Ghia rear engine bay panel

I’m looking for the highlighted area for a ’60 or earlier Ghia, from seam to seam, solid and not in need of too much work.  Don’t need the rear valence.  Let me know what you have.  Thanks!

My question is do you think that it can be modified to look like an early model piece? I see 2 humps that aren’t on your car. We can remove those. And it looks like your battery indention is on this piece in your car but not here. Modify!

The early ones are a little over an inch longer front to rear since 36hp tin is smaller, I believe.  I think that’s why in an early Ghia if you run something like a 1600 you have to use 36hp breastplate to make it fit.

It’s booger welded and bondo’d in place.  Apparently the car had a Corvair motor at one time, and whoever restored it prior to TripleJ’s ownership replaced it poorly.  I’d like to get the engine bay tidied up.

Does KCW still have that wrecked lowlight hanging around?  I’d throw a few Benjamins in the mail for the piece out of that one.

We have 4 lowlights here. There is one really bad 55 that we could cut that piece out of…I’ll look to see if its any good later.

That makes it an even better candidate!  Do you remember the engine compartment sheetmetal on his last drag Ghia? 😀
